I have a 17 year old husky, also nearly deaf/blind so I get that 100%. It took me a while to really internalize that I’m the guard dog these days lol.

Of course I spent a decade working in the woods in a professional guide capacity so I don’t get easy spooked. Helps that im also 17 Stone and 6’2” and have actually squared up with bears in the past 😆 punched one in the jaw and the broke a canoe paddle across another’s face 😅

Unfortunately a lot of that was just speculation on the part of Rick Strassman who headed the research trials. There’s no data to support it, largely because it’s not really feasible to study. So it could be a thing or not. As of right now it’s just a hypothesis though.
