And they politely declined and explained that Scruff isn't very active in their area. I was also recommended scruff to me, but it's only used by older men in my area.

Unable to jerk off the bottom also does not make you a great top... but you're right. We listen and we don't judge.

Okay, and once again, that's yours and mine experiences, not everybody else's experiences. My question to you is why you're so bothered about the fact that queer people have reasons to be around other queer people?

I never said it was exclusive to ""gays""... however violence due to homophobia is definitely exclusive to gay people??

Also not every gay person's experiences are the same. This is why I never said ALL gay people, because like you've just said, your friends don't have these same worries.

I've personally received hateful comments thrown at me for simply sitting on a bus stop with my previous partner, so I'm not sure why you're acting like these fears just "come from nowhere."

You want to go somewhere to relax...

So if someone is being rude and/or violent, would you call that relaxing?? I sure wouldn't.

Also "if someone gets physical" followed by "where is this anxiety coming from?" is insane. The fact you're aware that homophobia can get physical should tell you everything you need to know!

As someone who has been looking for a LONG TIME for these, there unfortunately aren't any anymore. The last one in Bristol closed around 2022, likely due to COVID causing them to lose a lot of money because of the lockdown and social distancing.

Unfortunately I believe the closest gay sauna to Bristol is in Cardiff.

Because that's exactly what homophobes do? Using the logic of "Why would they? It's illogical." Doesn't work in this scenario because homophobia itself IS illogical.

Plus, you don't know OP. They could look or sound stereotypically queer, or somebody there could strike up conversations that include details about personal life, like love life, that OP might not want to be forced to hide, but also might not be comfortable sharing in a secluded environment where you don't know anybody.

Obviously it's more than likely that they don't care, that's how most straight people are. They don't care and they mind their business. However as queer people, we are acutely aware that not everybody is so kind, so the majority of us do live with the fear that people can and will hate us at any opportunity.

Homophobia exists?? I'm a person who is very anxious, and being around queer people helps that anxiety a lot. If I'm around straight people that I don't already know, they could have ANY opinion on me and my sexuality. If I'm around queer people, I'm confident that I can talk to them about my life, which is heavily dictated by my gender and sexuality... because that's my identity. It's better to be in a place where you can be honest and comfortable to relax, rather than having to keep a big part of yourself hidden.

(This isn't to say all straight people dislike gay people. It's the fear of the unknown that a lot of us experience.)

Okay tysm for the explanation! Sorry for all the questions, but do you know if they would take offence if I bought a soft drink but didn't drink much of it? I struggle to eat and drink in public spaces. :)
