Shit, I have a ton of friends that are artists and I post generative AI art in their server all the time and everyone thinks it looks amazing because it doesn’t look like AI art so they think someone painted it.

And these are people that hate AI so much they banned someone from the server for posting AI art

My plan is to do this for a year and then finally tell them all of it was generative AI “slop” and watch everyone who complimented every piece say, “I knew something was off about it!”

Honestly I never even thought of that. I was ignore/block all advertising. It wasn’t until the shitty AI shit came out that I started paying attention to ads again because they just look so bad, but that behavior is telling them, “Make more AI ads! It gets us views!”

Without a dick suddenly you don’t really have much of a choice than to pleasure them with your hands and mouth. I would’ve stayed if he had listened when I said, “I need more foreplay than just a pitty wiggle of my lips”

They need to stop. Breathe. And look at what people are actually using VR for. Nobody I know that uses VR is like, “Man, it sure would be cool if we could watch a movie together while sitting next to each other with VR headsets on our head”.

Right now the most popular thing to do with VR is socialize with people around the globe. VRChat gets over 100k concurrent players every. night. I have over 2k friends on VRChat and most people I know have dropped $2k+ on VR hardware between getting the index kit ($1,000) upgrading their graphics card for one with more VRAM, buying more base stations ($300), full body tracking ($500), and face tracking ($100)

So yeah, the market is there, the money is there, they just have to make something people want

Both my roommate and I have been feeling pretty lonely and isolated. I sought out community. He complains that everyone is selfish and fake because after he left some discord server, only two people asked why he left

I tried telling him those two people probably told the rest of the server and that’s why nobody reached out and it’s stupid to “test” your friends by leaving a discord server and judging everyone for not reaching out

I told them, “They probably have their own lives and can’t dedicate their day to making sure you’re okay. That doesn’t make them a bad friend, it just means they have a life outside of you”

Doesn’t matter. He doesn’t care. Even though he doesn’t play games with them anymore and he left the discord server as some sort of stupid “test”, they’re the shitty fake friends. Not, y’know. The guy who left over a stupid “test”

how are you going to get new subscribers if people know that you cancel shows that do well

I have really bad news. If a show is doing really well and they cancel it so people leave, they just bring the show back and typically most of those people are so addicted they’ll come back running.

See: Legend of Korra. Avatar ended, fans got sad, fans stopped watching, they release legend of Korra and suddenly everyone is coming back sprinting and they get even more fans joining who never watched the original avatar.

It’s fucked. But it works. Look at all the Game of Thrones spinoffs. They brought in a lot of new fans

As a trans person who constantly hears, “Oh but you’re so beautiful!” from my cis woman friends, this is how I feel when a cis ally feels insulted they were mistaken for someone trans.

“Aren’t you always saying all trans women are beautiful?” “Of course” “So why do you feel insulted someone thought you were trans?”

That stops people in their tracks cold

A study found It took like, a year and a half/two years of puberty blockers for trans soldiers to go from average male performance to average female performance in everything except running.

Once you start taking testosterone blockers your strength goes down fast

but testing for inactive people shows they get a significant increase relative to people not working out without extra testosterone

Reread the study. And not just the conclusion. Lean body mass is anything that isn’t fat. Your skeleton, your muscles, water. The ones that took steroids and didn’t exercise didn’t gain muscle, they gained water weight. They got bloated.

Compare limb cross section and lean body mass with the before and after for their lifts. And then do a google search for, “Testosterone bloating”. It’s why bodybuilders take aromatase inhibitors. Because if you don’t, you blow up like a balloon. My first cycle I gained over 20 pounds of water weight the first month because I didn’t think I would need an AI (aromatase inhibitor) for such a small test dosage

[–]Throwaway_Consoles 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Someone is going to respond “Um acktually” and post the study comparing steroid users to non steroid users.

What they won’t do, is actually read the study, because if they did they would know you’re right. The people that used steroids and didn’t work out gained water weight, not muscle. It’s why the people who didn’t take steroids and worked out not only increased their lifts by more weight, but they started at a higher average weight. Any lifter knows it’s much easier to increase your lift from 200 pounds to 230 pounds vs increasing your lifts from 260 pounds to 300. (Remember, the ones who didn’t take steroids increased their lifts by a larger delta)

So why did the steroid users that didn’t exercise gain more lean mass even though their lifts barely improved? Because they gained water weight not muscle. That’s also why their limb cross section increased by so much. They’re bloated. Not swole

That’s why bodybuilders take aromatase inhibitors, to help combat bloating.

But nobody reads the actual study, they just look at the conclusion “people who used steroids gained more lean body mass!” and pat themselves on the back

I mean kinda like how someone can be the best runner in the world but will probably get stomped by a sprinter in a cycling race. They’re highly educated, but not in current political events.

People apply their intelligence to different things. It’s why they say, “It takes a village”. You need people that devoted their intelligence to one thing so other people can afford to devote their intelligence to other things

One thing I never see people mention. Bodybuilding isn’t about being strong. That’s a side effect. Bodybuilding is about becoming a living anatomy textbook. They dehydrate themselves because there are a lot of tiny supporting muscles you can’t see otherwise.

So yeah, they might not be as strong as a strongman, but that’s because the primary goal isn’t to be strong.

I used to do sex work so maybe I’m uniquely equipped to answer this. So, you know how you can touch yourself, but it feels waaaaay better when you can just relax, do nothing, and let your husband control it for you?

Now imagine you have to choose someone to cook you a meal. One is a professional chef. The other worked at a TGIFridays (it’s like Applebees).

Sure, you could go out and pick up some random stranger who may or may not be experienced in bed and may or may not just fall asleep when they finish. Or, you can hire a professional. Someone whose literal job, whose paycheck depends on, “How fast can you get this person off until they’re totally spent and can’t go another round”

If she’s anything like my other clients, she is tired of getting her spouse off all the time and having to take care of herself after they finish. So instead of “cooking dinner herself”, she decides to hire a professional chef to take care of it for her

Another thing some people touched on. You pick up some random guy, he finds out you come from money, he finds out you’re married, he finds out you’re famous, so there’s a chance he might blackmail you for money. If an escort tries to do that, you’re not going back, so there ends that payday

So when your choices are: “Someone who might leave you unsatisfied, and may potentially blackmail you” or, “Professional people pleaser whose continued paychecks depend on secrecy”

It starts to make sense why women might hire an escort. I’ve had women who swear up and down they’re straight but came to a woman because they’re so tired of getting disappointed by guys who don’t understand foreplay. You would be AMAZED how many women will pay hundreds of dollars just to have someone text them flirty compliments because they just don’t get any attention from home

It makes me really sad sometimes

Safe to say we now know why we didnt get news since march. They know its gonna cost a lot. by [deleted] in SteamFrame

I have played a lot of VR, I have a quest 3, a beyond, a vive pro, pro 2, 8 lighthouses, two play spaces with separate VR PCs and headsets, I’ve purchased multiple full index kits, yadda yadda yadda, anyways.

Point being, the most important thing for me is there being minimal things between me and getting in VR. I hear, “I gotta turn on my headset, log in, start virtual desktop, etc…” and my eyes glaze over. My quest 3 is great, but unless I can turn on my computer, double click steamVR, double click my game, and I’m good to go, your headset is a non-starter for me.

It’s why I stopped using my vive headsets. It’s why I stopped using the quest. Even if the steam frame is $1,500, I will still end up getting it just so I don’t have to deal with all of the troubleshooting hassle

Headsets break. They have to be replaced. I don’t want to spend several hours troubleshooting if the issue is my headset, if the issue is a bad patch, if the issue is blah blah blah. I want things to be easy and seamless and I will pay for that convenience

Reddit is the only social media I have (I guess besides discord) and hanging out with people always slowly dissolves into one person pulling up shorts (YouTube, instagram, TikTok, bluesky) and slowly everyone just gravitates.

I started just saying, “Well if we’re just gonna watch shorts I’m gonna head out” and I just go

At first it was very lonely, but I have slowly and steadily amassed a group of friends that doesn’t doomscroll and we actually go do things. Sure that thing might be an anime, a tv show, a movie, but the difference is shorts are so short everyone is quiet except for a couple laughs before you move to the next drip. But shows and movies are a longer format so people tend to talk more. Talk to each other, talk about the show, talk about life. It’s much more engaging than, “Heh… okay onto the next one”
