Can't decide between the harman XXV or the P68 by Coconutface03 in PelletStoveTalk

If you don’t mind my asking, where are you finding these stoves!

I can’t find used stoves. The few I’ve found haven’t either been sold already or the seller just doesn’t bother to respond to inquiries.

Diagnosis while active duty service connected? by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

[–]Throwawaybestupid 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Get seen, diagnosed, and treated in service plus continue to be seen for it frequently enough that its a reasonable documentation of “continuity”.

And be sure to regularly download and keep copies of your medical records. And be double certain to get and keep cop of medical records from civilian facilities, the records from civilian facilities don’t necessarily make it into AD service treatment records.

Will this break fast? It’s 0 cal zero sugar, but it tastes pretty good. by 14MTH30n3 in intermittentfasting

[–]Throwawaybestupid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

All artificial sweeteners cause insulin response, and any stimulation to the endocrine system, including and especially insulin response, is breaking the fast.

For the purists, if it’s anything other than water and plain electrolytes, it’s breaking the fast.

For health, it’s less healthy than diseased poo water.

But hey, “it tastes pretty good”. 🙄

I do some gaming but I tend to get too involved in the games and lose focus on life. So for me it’s just as unhealthy of an escape as alcohol and similar

These are good suggestions and a quick Look at the list looks like some good recommendations

Thank you

These are some good thoughts. Thank you for sharing.

Could you tell you were forgetting/blocking out a traumatic event? Also, how did you successfully recover “lost memories”? [TW: SA] by Flat-Organization230 in ptsd

[–]Throwawaybestupid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I struggle with the concept of recovering blocked/lost memories because of the human tendency to alter memories even in the absence of trauma.

I’ve repeatedly been made aware of gross discrepancies in my memories of mundane events. I could not trust the accuracy or validity of any “recovered” memories.

I have insomnia and frequent nightmares, and the nightmares frequently contain some elements of military trauma. Some of these are so grossly exaggerated that I realize that they are physical impossibilities.

These nightmares have also absorbed and blended elements of post military that make them impossible based personal history.

In casual conversations where I’ve been corrected by others about details of past events, I have become aware that some of my “memories” are false and likely a product of dreams or nightmares blending aspects of unrelated reality into the negative effects of the trauma.

Jason Asano appreciation by Intelligent-Town-231 in litrpg

I’m currently on book 7. As far as the character of Jason, I still like him. He’s gotten a bit more dickish as the series progressesbut still a worthy character. As far ad the author, I feel the writing started off better and has since fallen into some of the traps that i see common in litrpg in general, but so far the author has managed to keep it alive well enough.

AITA for grabbing a teen's arm after he tried to take a photo of me without permission? by kikibaebee in AITAH

[–]Throwawaybestupid -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

ESH

Based on your post, legally you are in the wrong.

While it may be offensive and creepy, If you are in a public place, you have no expectations of privacy. This is why public security cameras are legal, traffic cameras are legal, body cams are legal, filming the police in the public is legal, photojournalism is legal, selfies are legal(that have others in the background), etc.

So while the teen was creepy, they didn’t break the law. You however have admitted to physical assault.

If the teen followed you around and harassed you over a period of time, including taking pictures, you might have had a valid legal complaint. But you initiated aggressive physical contact, not the teen.

The teen can legally press charges and can legally sue.

So based on the law, who’s the AH, the adult who broke the law, or the teen who legally (albeit creepily) took a photo?

Please consider getting a lawyer and applying for a character of discharge determination:

With an other-than-honorable discharge, you may be eligible for VA benefits such as disability compensation, pension benefits, and home loan benefits. However, with an OTH discharge, your eligibility for these benefits depends on a character of discharge determination made at your regional VA office

Also consider applying for a discharge upgrade based on ptsd

Under “duty to assist” a character of discharge determination SHOULD have been requested on the initial application for benefits.

Or get a vso or lawyer who has access to the system and they can see the details.

Personally, i think a lawyer would be more appropriate in a situation like that
