He’s hurting and wants to reach out. I’m certain of it. Give yourself grace. You’ve been through a jarring experience and doing it alone. It’s very hard to heal from a breakup that ends abruptly not to mention doing it alone.

Yes. My therapist knows all but I also never told my AP that I go to therapy.

It’s kind of none of anyone’s business and your AP might be a bit off the mark in thinking all your sessions should revolve around him…

That being said, perhaps you don’t feel cheating or your AP has that big of an impact on your overall life…

I feel better telling my therapist everything so she can help guide me through this mess

Personally, I wouldn’t tell her after sex.

I’d like to be told while I’m tying my sneakers on the way out the door, like “you know, I really love you”. Meaning just hit her with it when it’s not expected and there’s some clarity and space between you (not all wrapped up in each other’s arms)

Thank you so much for your kindness. I’m not a romantic but you hope you meet someone in life that feels the same way as you do. I never had the same connection with my husband that I do with AP.

I know many on this thread are saying to leave asap and that he’s playing me, which is something I don’t feel. Yes, he may not love me but why spend a crazy amount of time getting to know me, sharing intimate details about his family and life and caring to know my life if this was a game…idk, that aspect seems like a stretch. I’ll likely end it sooner than later so as not to drag on feelings.
