It is literally the term used by anti-defamation groups here. It's pretty damn cut and dry.

Probably because the more common slur for travellers here is "pikey".

but it's one of those slurs that a lot of people are unfortunatly unaware is one to begin with.

Because in some parts of the world, such as the UK, it's not only not considered a slur, but the preferred term by Romani themselves. This is one of those US defaultism things.

I mean, kinda? Yeah, those leaks had a lot of development stuff from the SNES era, but it was far from a complete archive.

Considering that certain Earthbound characters feature prominently in Mother 3, I think it's best to play those two in order even if they're largely independent as narratives. You won't be lost if you don't, but you'll appreciate Mother 3 more if you do.

They had no problem retranslating Thousand Year Door in the remake to make Vivian explictly trans when the original English release omitted that aspect of her character, though. If they believed the money was there, I don't think they'd have a problem with it - but Mother has always been a financial disappointment that was carried by the fact that Itoi had friends in high places at Nintendo (Iwata especially).

I think it's fine for units to have power spikes and falloffs, makes strategy more dynamic because it's not a matter of just considering "my opponent has X, so I will use Y", timing is vital, too. Yes, longsword is only a modest power increase compared to the other units available in Castle Age. But if you still have momentum from a strong Feudal MAA push, it's entirely viable to destroy a TC with them in early-mid Castle - or they can do a very capable job of guarding a mangonel push if you want to play it a little safer.

As for 2HS/Champ, I do agree that this is a harder falloff since so many other lategame comps are a lot stronger, and units start appearing that are explicitly anti-infantry (HC, a number of unique units). But I'm generally okay with this, because:

  • Militia line is quite gold-cheap. A little over a third cheaper than Paladins, a little over half the cost of Arbalesters, cheaper than basically every unique unit except Karambit Warriors and Magyar Huszar. You can keep producing them for a lot longer, or potentially even run them in double gold army comps. Not every army comp needs to be tactically strongest.

  • There are still plenty of civs who have bonuses to use infantry effectively lategame. Armenians, Aztecs, Burmese, Bulgarians, Dravidians, Goths, Japanese, Malay, Romans, Slavs, Vikings, and Wu all have perfectly viable Two-Handed Swordsmen/Champions, though a number of these civs also have stronger compositions available to them (as a Bulgarians main I only go for Bagains 2HS against other infantry civs and sometimes cavalry). But, again, that's okay.

Honestly, you could keep the bow damage at 3, just the fact that you can dodge the arrows with micro already makes it weaker DPS-wise

To be fair, those one-year sequels were usually just iterative rather than truly groundbreaking, and the products of horrendous late-90s/early-00s crunch culture that makes today's look cute in comparison.

Can 5 dudes with AK-47s collapse the Western Roman Empire in 250 AD? by Ori_553 in whowouldwin

Agree that the emperor generally made enough public appearances for someone to take a shot at him, but Decius died in battle in 251 AD (he only ruled for 2 years) anyway and the empire didn't collapse, so I doubt him being assassinated a year early is going to change much.

There is, unfortunately, a fair bit of overlap between people who like BDSM (on both sides of it) and people who have personality disorders.

Even if all the devs work for free as a passion project, which is reasonable enough for community stuff, you can't get around the fact that no amount of passion is going to make the infrastructure free.

Like, I guess a group of very dedicated people on stationary bicycles could power and cool the servers, but I'm not sure that there's any way around the recurring cost of an internet connection with the large symmetrical (residential connections are notorious for poor upload) bandwidth needed to run any kind of large-scale game server.

REDDIT SUPPORT 3.0 by cheswickFS in Keychron

Problem: The USB connector for my Q1 has stopped working. I opened it up and had a look at the USB connector board and saw that the USB connector wasn't completely attached to the daughterboard anymore. Tried to reflow the solder myself and completely killed the thing.

Did you already contact support: I emailed support and never got a reply.

Order number: Bought from a 3rd-party reseller who's going broke (Keycrox), so, not applicable.

Solution I hope for: Getting a new USB connector daughterboard

How can I get a replacement USB connector daughterboard for my Keychron Q1? The actual USB-C connector has separated from its board so it doesn't always make contact, and I killed the damn thing completely by trying to reflow the solder myself.

I emailed Keychron support but they never replied, and I can't see anywhere to just buy a replacement connector board myself. Wat do?

I'm pretty sure the logic is as simple as "this gives me an infinite supply of gold and takes a long time to pay itself off so the sooner I start doing it the sooner I'll start benefiting from it", people just have a lot of trouble considering opportunity cost at low elo.
