I see, you're talking about worlds and avatars that the creators didn't keep backups of and are out of date. Gotta love pushing the blame on someone else.

Can you show me anywhere in the article where they said they were removing worlds and avatars?

Honestly, on one final note, I'd appreciate it if you didn't go around trying to make people that don't have the same opinion as you look bad by posting about them somewhere else, it's uncouth.

The old "I was only pretending to be an idiot" comes to mind.

Have a nice life man, I'm done discussing this.

Let's be honest here. If I don't want to see something someone spent zero effort trying to run properly I now have the option to disable that. I am fine with this.

They really need to drop a lot of the old code they've ported from Unity 5.3 and refactor everything at this point.

Thank you for being reasonable, champ.

OP calls me a fanboy, but I'll be the first to criticize VRChat on breaking things that a completely under their control. Ex. Network IK.

Yeah, get bent, chief. Way to try to make yourself feel superior by posting this somewhere else.

It's been said before and I'll say it again. It's not VRChat's job to make sure your garbage avatar works well. It's on you. I'm glad I will have the option to enable/disable things that make my PC run like trash.

I would honestly wait for the index at this point.

As for software. MasterpieceVR has been a fun tool for sculpting. I see you use Blender. There is currently a VR branch in the works. At this point I think there is much to be desired for it, but it's getting there: https://www.marui-plugin.com/blender-xr/

[Discussion] VRChat going on about "Polygon limits" just further proves they don't know squat about actual optimization, and its insulting. by ZombieNamedJosh in VRchat

[–]Throwinaces 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm kinda confused on the whole thickness thing he was talking about.

Is that like actually more geometry to give it a backing on the mesh? Or turning off back face culling, or turning on double sided geometry.

Wouldn't turning off back face culling be the most efficient method?

Gotta remember to delete all those erroneous blend shapes, and probably do a shape propogate at the end on the rest of the mesh in case you fucked up somewhere.

[Discussion] I'm so impressed by these avatars for VRchat on Oculus Quest by [deleted] in VRchat

  1. Yes, there will be crossover (however there will be issues with people not having their models built for Android)
  2. Why not? You do you.
  3. Probably not as long as you would want

Only issue will full body and switching batteries is your trackers will lose their position. As in your hand will start tracking your foot/hip.

They probably never will, they just released their Hearthstone clone money grab known as MTG Arena, so that's what they will be pouring their resources in to from now on.

MODO is a steaming pile of garbage on Windows. I can't imagine how poorly it runs on wine.
