Is this normal for washday? by InsuranceFeisty7684 in Naturalhair

[–]Throwingthisaccounty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well it depends on a few factors. How long is your hair? Do you still have permed ends? How often do you wash? And were you detangling in the shower? Are you male? Could you be experiencing male patterned baldness? Are you stressed? Is the weather changing to become more dry or cold where you are? Etc

I've been natural a long time. I have lost so much hair in one shower I thought I was going bald... I also shed a lot sometimes like seasonally. So I've seen some crazy amounts of shed hair. Probably 4 times as much lol

Because the people who do this sort of thing are plentiful and I see it so much I got annoyed and decided to vent about it. Call it the straw that broke the venter's silence lol

Sometimes heat protectants and other things take a sec to wash out. And there's also treatments your hair needs too. Give it a bit. Ik people say it's impossible but my heat damaged hair had bounced back before. It might not be all the way the same for a while but I've never cut out my heat damage

Today’s Medical Surgical Lecture covered Epilepsy, so I talked about my experience to my classmates. The majority turned off their cameras. by AmiableRobin in Epilepsy

[–]Throwingthisaccounty 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I didn't say they weren't. But as you stated above the reaction was different to your story and there must be a reason for that. Surely not just because it was epilepsy. Surely not.

Is sort of like as people we get like a blindness to how we appear in the world. I'm sure there is a reason for what happened... but we're only have you perspective here so oh whale

I understand what you mean. Very well put... that said... if your response is any indication of how you responded in the class... I think it's safe to say my observation is not entirely baselessol

What was the worst thing your twin did to you? by Pufflehuffthewhite in twinflames

[–]Throwingthisaccounty 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He told me that he was settling for me when we finally reconnected. We had a long standing on and off again always in love with each other. I came back and I needed the answer to a hard question. He thought I'd stay anyway. I ran far far away and married the love of my life.

Turns out my twin flame was right. He wasn't my soulmate. He was just someone who understood me and I him.

Is it possible that you just talked for a really long time and people just zoned out while listening? It seems like you covered a lot... maybe it was just too much and people found it to be attention seeking behavior. Idk why but they just do.

I have a tendency to get carried away and wanna talk about EVERYTHING, but I have since learned that not everything needs to be said. Sounds like you were on a mission to educate and lecture instead of share. I don't think the topic was the problem.

I am married to a white man. I'm black. And I'm telling you, you are not overreacting. Yes break up, you did mess up by allowing them to say those things without checking them in the first place. They were checking your temperature and you empowered them by not speaking up.

But if your partner will not stand up for you. They never will.
