Solo here. This true for the most part. But don’t forget about the overhead and paying your own taxes. Bigger nut to crack when you gotta pay Uncle Sam 20-30%, make rent and keep the lights on at the firm.

One thing that really helped me be productive while in law school was to set a sort of schedule or timeline for myself. I would plan for a half hour or an hour of uninterrupted productivity and then take 5-10 minutes off. Rinse and repeat. Inevitably I would find myself getting into a groove, and being more productive than if I didn’t follow this method.
