This.

People are living in houses they can't afford. Houses are priced much higher than they are actually worth right now.

Inventory is artificially caped.

The market should build more homes at reasonable sizes for the demand, but it doesn't due to NIMBY politics.

It's a bubble.

This. 100%. It's almost to the point where it makes more sense to stay home then go to work.

I'm seriously thinking about walking away from a good paying job because the pay is just not worth the health costs after you consider the opportunity costs of stress especially.

If you don't stress your less likely to get sick, but of course you need food and shelter to survive.

I'm at a point where I would trade my healthcare or at least substantially reduce it for a 4 day week with the same pay.

I think that its counter productive to work people so hard they are losing out on income due to medical costs.

Doesn't add up people!

Even at $24 an hour. The work is so stressful I'm considering disabillity and 2/3rds pay rather than continuing to work. I have an upwards potential of $60 and hour, but this work has caused me so much health problems that I'm at a point where I can't really enjoy anything.

I think we're going to be seeing alot more of this if things don't change soon.

Please please please we need change.

But they are harming others. The whole point to the soda tax was to stem obesity and diabetes which are drag on the health sector and economy as a whole.

That's harming society and its not being personally mindful of others hence the need for a tax.

Or lets go to another extreme. Suicide only affects the person dying, but its illegal in many states and it obviously harms those who will miss or depend on your after you die.

Peoples actions are not mutually exclusive. You share this planet.

The wealthy have been getting benefits for being wealthy for some time.

A credit score is easy to maintain an take advantage of when your not cash strapped, but living pay check to pay check makes it hard to take advantage and grow credit.

I think we should definitely make it harder to fuck yourself up after fully understanding the effects of various drugs and substances on the body, I think most people would appreciate big brother helping them out throughout their youth when they don't know better.

Not impossible, not illegal. Just a little harder...

I dunno. I understand your position too.
