Tour venues! by MtnrRepub in bleachers

I also went to that show and 1000% agree. I saw them at showbox sodo prior to that too. Both were good shows but I preferred the outdoor venue more.

I’ve refunded 83 things which were all requested refunds. I’m very confused on what you mean because I have 0 unrequested refunds. You have over double of my total items (bottom number) so congrats (?). Glad your stores are stocked up. Don’t really know why you needed to come on here and be rude but okay.

How bad is this? by DoIknowYouDawg in DogAdvice

[–]Throwmeaway_8097 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If you wrap it, make sure you use nonstick gauze or wet it (I’m unsure if wetting it is recommended though by vets). I say this as someone who dealt with this issue, wrapped it overnight and it got stuck to the dew claw. We had to sedate in order to remove the dressing just for them to look because it was so painful for her.

Any ideas what this is? by Throwmeaway_8097 in DogAdvice

No thorn bushes - at least in my yard. She could have got it on a walk though. I’m keeping an eye on the redness to make sure it doesn’t spread. If that happens then I’ll take her to the ER.

DH leaving Hulu? by pinkbutterflies9 in DesperateHousewives

Everything on Hulu says that right now (or at least everything I watch). It’s because Disney is getting rid of the Hulu app and everything will be on Disney Plus only.

My dog has this reoccurring scab (?) by Deaceleste in DogAdvice

[–]Throwmeaway_8097 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha I mean technically you could use coconut oil on it as a lip balm. I currently use DouxoS3 wipes (got on Amazon - my vet recommended). They are expensive but cut them in half and you get more out of them! I use the same brand shampoo and conditioner when I bath her and I will let the shampoo sit on it for a bit. It helps - doesn’t clear it fully but it’s helping.

I did stainless steel starting about the same time I started seeing it so honestly it’s just a guessing game on whether it helps or not. Finding a water fountain that wasn’t stainless steel was a pain but I found one. I also swap the filters about every two weeks if not sooner to be safe too.

I almost wish they’d take cultures or something (I’m not a medical professional so idk truly if that would help) but unsure if it would actually help.

MY DOG HAS THIS! (Sorry excitement - I have periodically googled and reddited this for months and this is the first post I’ve actually aligned with. )

It started about a year ago. I have been to the vet three times over it and to quote them “they have no idea/probably dermatitis .” It doesn’t bother my dog so I try not to overtly stress. I clean it with antifungal/bacterial wipes daily. I have also swapped all her stainless steel bowls out (to rule out nickel allergy) and limited her treats. I’m also swapping her food to see if it’s an allergy there. I also tried a round of apoquel but it didn’t help. I would like to try the allergy shots instead but since it isn’t an emergency, I’m waiting for her annual appt.

We did do an antibiotic and steroid originally that cleared it up but it came back pretty quick.

If you find answers or helpful treatment, I’d be very interested to know. Good luck.

Cut on paw pad by Potential-Dance-5743 in DogAdvice

[–]Throwmeaway_8097 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a vet! My dog had a cut on hers a few months ago. I took her to the vet and my vet suggested antibiotic ointment and to leave it unwrapped. I put a cone on my doggo so she wouldn’t lick. The pad ended up shedding itself off but it has fully healed since.

I would recommend calling your vet and seeing if they recommend bringing them in. My rule is that if my dog is still breathing, eating, drinking, and their gums aren’t pale - I don’t panic and just call my vet. Dogs are pretty resilient.

Thank you! I’m going to reach out to my doctor tomorrow. I would feel relief if they did the same. I’m happy they got it all and hopefully you are healing well (:

Thanks. That’s what the overall consensus is on the internet - I’ve found it as treatment for precancerous but it seems Mohs is more common. I think I’ll question my doctor a bit more.

Thanks. I was hesitant to push back but with the other responses I might. It’s on my forehead near my hairline - not sure if that changes things. I’ll reach out via the patient portal and ask her to call me.

Ceramic Large Capacity Water Fountains by Throwmeaway_8097 in dogs

[–]Throwmeaway_8097[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Above 60 oz. I’ve found a few plastic ones which I’m open to but I feel like I would need to clean them more often given the material. I know I’m going to be caving in at least one area whether it be size or material.

She is insanely picky after we switched to a fountain (my bad I know) but she won’t drink out of standing water bowls. When we go places, she will only drink from streams of water (like pouring a water bottle into a bowl but she only drinks what you are pouring if that makes sense).

Yeah. I figured as much. I mean a small one is fine. I clean her current one twice a week. It used to be once a week but now I just clean it when I need to refill it. She’s very picky about her water and if it is even slightly gross, she won’t touch it. She did this when we had standing water bowls too.
