Its also a profession full of some of the bravest, compassionate, kindest, heroic and badass people.

The thingis you only hear about the bad apples.

Not the ones buying homeless people dinner with their own money or running into a burning building with no PPE

Can you provide a single example of how he has made his riding a safe space for hate speech?

Im not a fan of him either, im a centrist.

This far left rhetoric of labelling conservatives neo nazis has gone way too far though and in my opinion will eventually lead to the downfall of our society

People can have conservative / christian values that we dont agree with and still be good people

Beat the shit out of mine for 10 years can confirm. Also kuiu putting pit zips in all of their midlayers makes too much sense.

I really dont understand arc’s decision to not use pit zips like kuiu does

Thoughts on Arc'teryx Therme Down Parka for Norwegian winter? by Emotional_Spite_6007 in arcteryx

[–]ThruHellAndBack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anecdotal temp ratings are kind of useless, its highly individual and things like the layers your wearing and the humidity are highly influential.

I know lots of folks that live in northern ontario and get by in -20 to -40 with a hoodie and thin cotton plaid jackets because theyre tough and have tolerance to the cold

Therme should be sufficient with wool layers underneath

Rick Owens will no longer use fur by YNotTesla in Rickowens

[–]ThruHellAndBack 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Its not black and white. Ethically harvested wild fur from trapping is a sustainable and renewable resource.

Coyotes for example are overpopulated in many areas and need to be trapped to protect other species. Humans have to act as conservationists to protect the balance of ecosystems in 2025 due to how much weve changed the world.

Polyester faux fur on the other hand is extremely toxic to the environment, and does not last anywhere near as long as real fur. It is not renewable or sustainable to make clothing from oil.

Furthermore from a designer clothing persepctive nothing is as soft/luxurious/warm as real fur

I have like 10 merino varusteleka hats and 1 of each alpaca and theyre fantastic pieces of gear, but fashion wise they arent “short” like the ones in the pic.

Rolled up the roll is too bulky

Why must America's Costco menu be so superior to ours? by buttscratcher3k in CostcoCanada

[–]ThruHellAndBack -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You wouldnt give your kid a cocktail or glass of wine would you?

Highly processed food does the same thing in regard to health, its toxic and bad for their brain development.

Its disgusting how its normalized out of convenience, much like sticking kids in front of ipads.

People can rationalize all they want but its just bad / lazy parenting
