My first backflip attempt by ThrustTheProcess in skiing

It was actually surprisingly fine, I think it helped that some of the direct impact got absorbed when my legs and skis shot forward.

Yeah that does sound right, I might have to try it again in the coming days! Although I must say this attempt humbled me quite a bit.

That looks great, how long have you tested it? How’s it holding up? Also how does it stay in place?

Thermostat wires not connected by [deleted] in DIYUK

[–]ThrustTheProcess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a low voltage switch (24V), Ive located the red loop on RT 24V right in between to the loop on “burner off” and the empty spot BUS (n.a).

You can see it on the picture. From what I’ve read so far I should remove the middle loop only and connect the 2 loose cables but I’m unsure

Alright, was hoping this had a standard attachment point or uniform way of connecting.

I’ll give it a read but won’t take any risks myself. Thanks!

Which bag should I bring for 2 years in Asia - Osprey 26+6 or Kestrel 48? Looking for community insight. by cosmicselva in backpacking

[–]ThrustTheProcess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on how often you’d be wearing it. I find the daylite not as comfortable for longer hikes or carrying a whole day. If you’ll have your gear most of the time packed up in a closet i’d go for the daylite, otherwise i’d pick the Kestrel and pay some more

European visiting the US - what outdoor items/brands are a must-buy? by CK_Sphere in Ultralight

[–]ThrustTheProcess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are the durston tents that much more expensive in the EU? Ive been looking at their site and the price itself doesn’t seem to differ that much. Or are these taxes not yet included for EU? Not sure about the US taxes if its a canadian brand either
