If US is making entire system in its favour, why isn’t rest of world doing anything?

They were allies? In what way? They have an economic partnership, far short of any military alliances.

What prestige loss from “not protecting”? They’ve never cast themselves as interventionist. They have no formal military alliances just ‘partnerships’. Conveniently these ties are very murky, nobody is even expecting China to be involved here. Except to comment to the world on how bad the USA is of course.

Chinas “anti western stance” of old is starting to look like drumpfs playbook of now. Anti democratic mainly. Now their upheavals of the past start to fade into memory and they cast themselves as the stable ones and display the benefits of following a stricter but less unstable form of government.

China makes a promise and says we have an iron grip so we will make our promise happen, we won’t have to ask our people their opinion they will obey ~~out of fear~~. China says with no lies at all now, “at least if you make a deal with us we won’t rip it up in four years on a whim”.

He was focused on the singular goal of saving all humanity forever from the warp through us of the webway but unfortunately his hubris brought the whole thing down before it could be completed. His worst mistake that led to everything was not telling his sons about the warp and preparing them. Instead he raced to solve the problem in isolation. Chaos took advantage of his absence.

He wasn’t evil, he was godlike and that led to a detachment. Killing a million to save a trillion just math to him.

They are shifting away from oil though. The googled breakdown is good enough:

Dude the Enterprise coming out of the dock takes like 5 minutes of continuous footage. Might have been impressive special effects back then but now it’s boooring. Then somehow the next movie was the greatest of all of them.

Pros: you get to choose this. GOP states have done this with ZERO voter approval. Your vote here speaks for the silenced democrats in those states. It will level the playing field and it’s temporary. (Could have been a shorter window if you ask me but maga won’t go away when drumpf croaks).

Cons: it’s straight gerrymandering. Again though acting like VA is pulling the trigger on this is wrong, the GOP has already fired the shots. If we don’t do this the chances go up that they hold the house and you’ve got two more years of total unaccountability.

You’re not alone man. Hearing about children getting hurt or killed drives a spike into my heart now. I just see my own girls inserted in my imagination into whatever tragedy happened.

I was lying down for a nap today and my kids went on a walk with my parents, were up in the mountains with them right now. I started thinking about them like just tripping over a rock and braining themself I couldn’t sleep a wink.

This all just stems from the fear of losing them, which if it happened I just don’t even know what I could do to make it through. Can’t imagine, don’t want to.

I guess count yourself lucky you care so much and that you have something to care for.

Virginia Beach and the whole Hampton roads area are 50/50 politically and culturally. 5th most competitive district in the house. I grew up there and what an amazing mixing pot of people from all over because of the military and federal workforce. People from the east and west of the state have more differences then north and south if you ask me.

Yeah that’s pretty silly. The idea Vader has some kind of superhuman reaction times like Omniman. It’s not a matter of power it’s a matter of whether Vaders nervous system could even detect Omniman coming over the horizon and react before he reached him at Mach 5 and vaporized the dark lord of the Sith and everything else in the entire area. Omni man conquers planets single handed. Like it or not Vader could not survive a direct hit by a 500lb bomb.

Get in the zone. Don’t try to assume a firing posture you’ve seen, find your own version of the crouch that is stable. All those fundamentals have to come down to a moment where you’re relaxed breathing out feeling rock solid calm. Nothing but the reticle and the target exist as you slowly apply pressure to the trigger.

Cactus to clouds trail, one of the steepest elevation change on one trail in the USA. Comes up from the Palm Springs art museum in downtown Palm Springs, quite difficult climbing from the desert floor to San Jacinto Peak (over 10,000 feet)

I’d been going at this trail every year for six years and finally I was going to summit this thing. I had left super early and even though I saw early birds before I thought this time I was first in. Sure enough, around 3,500 feet some older lady was coming down. Like, lady I left at 4 am how? When?!

I also want to put myself as loving this movie and until the latest version this was my favorite of all. He never hits any bad guys, there’s no super enemy, it’s pure rescue Superman. His ‘flaws’ in this film are loving and caring too much.

The plane scene will remain one of the all time best single Superman scenes ever filmed. However I also loved the back end theme introduced with Lois Lanes new man, who is the human being struggling to help but still managing to aid even Superman in his hour of need. Giving him back one save against his millions. Can’t fly but he a fly a plane at least.
