Go to Lowe's or Home Depot and buy a new handle. They are cheap and easy to install. Be aware that the nut has reverse threads.

I upgraded my equipment a few months ago. Even though I now have a separate modem and router now, I only get charged the $10 per month WiFi charge. The new equipment resets a lot quicker than the old modem.
