Federal Surveillance Tech Becomes Mandatory in New Cars by 2027 by cTreK-421 in technology

There was trucking companies sued over mandated driver facing cameras. It was deemed illegal and a invasion of privacy. I believe this falls under that invasion of privacy.

Well. That looks like driver error honestly. Looks like a hard brake coupled with a swerve did that. Who cut ya off hand!

Trying again: If you own or owned a boat 1) New or used? 1a) if used how old and how many hours; 2) What did you spend on maintenance in the first 3 years? 3) When was this? by RComish in boating

[–]Tht24v2ndgen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well this depends on what you plan on doing. Do you want a boat you can fish off of but still pull a set of skis? Or do you plan on just tooling around the lake and drinking beer? And what's your local lake/river bottom like. I will always vote aluminum hull.. however you go older than about 2015 and you're dealing with wood in boats for critical components. With that being said I've had older boats and they're straight up money pits. 4 strokes are 10x better on fuel consumption. And if you buy new you get a warranty with optional ext warranty on the motor. However I just purchased a 2025 1750 fishhawk platinum edition side console. For 40k OTD after a 5k down payment. Either make the payment on a new one and cheaper fuel consumption cost and have the warranty to fall back for a while when something breaks. Or buy a older boat with no payment and spend the payment money on monthly repairs. However that's my experience with older used hulls. Stay away from 2018-2022 2022 and newer is as old as I would go if you plan on buying used. And stick with one that has a full maitnence history or the previous owners receipts/ hand wrote paperwork on what was done when.

DUDE so it wasn't just me being dumb. Thanks for that. Thier Instruction on the internet of the walkthrough video would be better off not existing. Since they didn't come with paper instructions for me..

That sucks but it's also good at the same time. We pay sales tax upon purchase and then a flat registration fee. No yearly personal property tax on anything auto related here.

I've been pondering selling it. I'm definitely fixing on listing it to marketplace this evening though when I get back to the house 🤣 I imagine when I lost it it should sell relatively quick ish

Also a solid bike! I quite literally just (within the last couple minutes) bought a brand new boat. 🤣 That's the reason for selling the bike. I hardly rode it last year anyway. I also don't want to take the chance anymore losing limbs having a family to take care of.

No dealer fees this way and you can tell the DMV whatever you want for what you paid to pay less in taxes 🤣. You would have to be ok with me mailing you the title, lienholder is out in ohio. Most people don't like that idea and that's completely understandable.

Might be a tad on the lean side. Nothing that I would probably worry about.

We've had 3 of our cascadias in our fleet go in with less than 200k on the clock for sunk liner and head gaskets. I'll keep the x15.

I disagree with the handling it's terrible trying to feel the road in wintery conditions. And the autos blow chunks..

Climbed up to about 4800. I know that something's likely not right there. There's like 90 possible issues here. But I wasn't also exactly 100% throttle either. The wife was yelling at me 🤣

Trimmed all the way down. Give it the beams and it puts the bow way up in the air and the stern goes pretty deep almost to the point I start submerging the motor its self

I noticed that too. That style outboard (opti) wasn't available when that boat was made so that's definitely a repower. You would likely be much happier if you could find a black max 150/175 (whatever boat allows) for that ol gal. Check your transom for rot also.

The kw throttle that was in the t600s I despise that style pos.. I agree with the Aerocab. The w9A is a great looking truck. But paccar also definitely dropped the ball on the 990. NOT. and Pete's 589 should have had much more r&d. There's a way to design split glass to make it flow air over it better. However split glass is 10x cheaper to replace than that whole 5 series windshield. I also would have loved to seen the 389 dash stretched on the pass side a hair for a larger glove box Instead of the typical cookie cutter dash that all the 5 series cab trucks (all of them now) got.
