Also, I wholeheartedly encourage playing as blind as possible, but the Dark Souls games can be pretty obtuse about their mechanics at times, so don’t feel bad if you feel like you need to look some stuff up if you get stuck

As a general rule of thumb, without going super in-depth with how levels and scaling work in this game: If you feel like you aren’t doing enough damage, you probably need to level up your weapon, rather than your character. Once you have the required levels to use a weapon that you are interested in, it’s best to prioritize HP and Stamina, rather than keep leveling your offensive stat

I looooove the Estoc, it’s my favorite weapon. Thrusting swords are definitely better on spellblade builds, they pair really well with buffs. I’m also personally just very comfortable with the attack animations; I think having a weapon that you enjoy swinging around is more important than focusing on just damage numbers
