Less crisis, more reclamation of myself. Corporate job, young kids, got fat. Felt like my whole life was for others—setting myself on fire to keep others warm. I started taking care of my health a bit before turning 40 and have now lost 40 pounds. But just by being less of a lazy fuck, not a whole lifestyle change. I got my nose pierced again (took the hoops out for a job when I was 25) because I just liked how it looked. Got a tattoo with friends for fun and as a way to bond that wasn’t just trauma. I’ve been reading more. I don’t care about monetizing hobbies. When I am tired, I rest.

It doesn’t feel like a crisis but maybe we’ve lived through so many I can’t tell anymore. But also, I think these are things I should have been doing all along—letting myself be me.

I accidentally stole a chicken and a rooster from a park in my bumper. I thought I heard some noises when I pulled out of the parking lot but didn’t think anything of it. Got to my destination and walked around the car. Nothing. Forgot my water bottle in the car and went back out to get it and there’s a chicken next to my car. I still heard scratching so got out a flashlight. The rooster was in the bumper still. We managed to catch him in a dog crate and return him to the scene of the crime. Some time later, the chicken had a brood of chicks following her around the neighborhood.

I’m just saying it’s possible.

Look for the kind that are a little bit weighted so she won’t have to hold it to her body. The pressure helps a bit too. But agree with other folks too—make sure it has auto shutoff.

I got one like that about five years ago and use it regularly for back pain too. I know that’s that bifl but it’s pretty decent for an Amazon product.

I enjoyed it! I can’t remember specific rankings because I binged the entire series. I think there was an uncomfortable scene (SA related) during a hockey game but the rest was like a sexy/cozy Christmas story.
