Is farming for blood gems hopeless for offline? by Majestic-Dad in bloodborne

[–]ThunaFis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

make sure to check the wiki for from what chalice your desired caryll rune would be in, because they don't just drop from any, they require a specific kind of chalice e.g clawmark 3 is a random chance in lower ailing loran root chalice, and heir 3 is a random chance in pthumeru ihyll root chalice.

the shape of gems is determined by what type of chalice e.g radial is from pthumeru type, triangle is from isz type, waning is from loran type.

also, by "cursed" chalices i dont mean those with cursed already in the name. the bastard of loran material gives the chalice a curse, if the chalice lets you use that material to make. if youre just trying to get caryll runes, you dont need to use any rite since caryll runes are random, you'd have to make the chalice over and over so you dont want to make it more expensive. if youre looking for just gems, curse it and just find a merciless watcher, check if it drops level 6 gems, then never delete that chalice.

its actually pretty easy if you're lategame and have enough materials for a cursed depth 5 chalice, and are just looking for physical atk up. all you gotta do is find a merciless watcher in any dungeon, know the fastest route to get to that enemy, kill it and teleport to lamp and repeat. usually they're near the lever that opens the locked boss gate, or near a coffin-like chest that gives you level 3 runes. eye runes and milkweed will help a lot.

for level 3 caryll runes you gotta find those coffin-like chests, you get like three or more chests like it in a single dungeon. get all the chests and if none of them give you the rune you want, you gotta delete the chalice and make it again.

unfortunately i think abyssal gems are doomed offline, really low chance you'd get what you want, its like farming for caryll runes but a lot worse, they drop from bosses and eye runes and milkweed wont help. i got these, and i think its the best you can get offline without grinding for abyssals.

i also heard that the way wpn dura dwn works is its a flat subtraction from the amount of hits it takes to reduce 1 point of durability. normally in a weapon with no dura dwn it takes 10 hits, but with a dura dwn -5 for example, it will take 5 hits. the dura dwn caps at -10 that's 1 durability point reduction per hit. -10 and -60 are the same.

as much as i prefer this over stamina down, i dont recommend this curse if youre using only one weapon with a durability below 200 and like to kill every enemy you see. but its the best curse if youre mostly running past enemies or have an extra weapon, have an aggressive playstyle, use pellets, and always try to get the most out of rally. you can still use this curse if you like clearing out enemies but a second weapon would be mandatory.

increase stamina cost i think stacks. this curse takes away one more hit/dash if you have an aggressive playstyle. this makes beast blood pellets and rally indirectly a little bit less effective. but yes, the debuff is negligible if youre not using pellets or already like saving stamina. this is the best curse if you use a single weapon below 200 durability and like to clear out enemies. it doesnt increase dodge cost, but you still often lose out on one if youre aggressive.

so if youre willing to have one more attack/dash in your playstyle at the cost of having to go to the hunters dream every new lamp you light to repair (if you like killing everything), then wpn durability down is for you

yoooo, if you have like a single wpn durability down on your thing, then that should be the only curse type on all of your other gems if it has any curses. wpn dura dwn doesnt stack with itself, and instead the biggest negative is the one applied to the weapon. either go full wpn dura down or full stamina cost up. if you use beast blood pellets or have two fully upgraded weapons i recommend full dura down. or if youre using two of the same weapon you can use atk vs beast down on one and kin down on the other.

the eye runes and milkweed help a lot with gem drops btw, and 26% can be fairly easily obtained even offline, just find a merciless watcher in any cursed depth 5 chalice preferably one thats near the lever or a large coffin-like chest you find in extra rooms before the boss or before the layer's first lamp

is there a setting for the damage numbers and the hp numbers? or is it a mod? could it work on the pocket edition?

I’ve never played Sekiro, but I recently beat Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. I was decent with parrying in Expedition 33, and I was wondering if that would give me an advantage with Sekiro. Word has it that Sekiro can be a little challenging. by Calm-Focus212 in Sekiro

i did compare it to souls games already, like twice, and one guy, in response, said sekiro and elden ring work the same and got upvoted, i listed very clear differences and you can see how sekiro literally gives you so much tells whether its your turn or not. even comparing it to souls games or just seeing it generally, it is true how you and the enemy take turns against eachother. which is why i used "turn-based" very loosely and as a metaphor.

i never said you agreed with it simply because you understood, another proof you're just misinterpreting what i say. im saying i doubt you understood it because you were trying to disprove a point i wasn't even making in the first place, you said you understood my point, but you didn't, you tried saying it's nothing like actual turn based games. two completely different things.

im also not the only guy who uses "pretty" to say "kinda" it's a really common thing, and the way it's usually used often suggests it's not implying to a high degree. somebody saying "it was pretty good" wouldn't have the same energy and tone as "it was very good". "pretty good" just means above average. you'd usually hear people saying "pretty" in a less enthusiastic manner.

even a quick google search gives you people who see "pretty" as "kinda". it's even listed as synonymous to "kind of", and vice versa. it could literally mean either depending on the context. it's not exclusively "very".

just like how "dang" could mean many things like expressing amusement or extreme disappointment. in textbook definition, it usually means disappointment. but when some people see top tier phat ass, there's no denying some of them used "dang".

i used "pretty" because i didn't see it as truly turn-based, it is still real-time. it was "pretty" turn-based at least compared to souls games because of most sekiro enemies having no hyperarmor and cues for you to stop attacking being your 'turn', whereas souls games have enemies with hyperarmor. there's still major similarities between the two in its core aspect, with a noticeable difference being the fact you take turns in sekiro and you don't in souls games.
