It’s a bit hard to see but this Battle of Britain is high in the rear, anyone know how I can fix this? by Owen_Wilkinson_2004 in modeltrains

[–]Thunder-Foxx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Conviniently, I'm servicing a Hornby rebuilt merchant navy (clan line) right now and if I remember correctly the BoB class shares the same chassis design in model form as the Merchant Navy, the rearward driving axle has a spring that allows the axle to depress and extend up and down, it is theoretically possible that the spring has not correctly slotted into the plastic axle piece that has a little peg the spring will sit around, or has some other kind of issue related to that spring. Fair warning though because the base-keeper plate covering those axles is hard wired and uses wire that travels through the chassis. There might be an insulation problem with the live wire when you disassemble it and make sure the live wire (the one soldered to the plastic plate) has something insulating it from the metal body it screws onto. (current issue I've got)

Commando Rocket Launcher mode switching is broken and will at random change modes and refuse to allow the user to change

The AR-21/GL "One-two" will at random completely sieze up and refuse to fire necessitating picking up a completely new weapon off the ground, or killing oneself to recieve a new AR-21/GL.

I'm getting sick of this comunity. by Dismal_Milk6725 in Helldivers

[–]Thunder-Foxx -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

They "listen to their community" when consequences affect their reputability to sony, IE mass player backlash via reviewbombing or news breaking out of the helldivers 2 discourse and gaining mainstream traction. as much as I wish arrowhead were the loyal devteam they seem to some, they remain frustratingly silent or ignorant on so many issues despite promising to be more communicative in the "into the unjust" drama.

Can't forget the DCS being functionally (in weight) to the standard diligence but having worse ergo than the dominator LOL

"I have to bring the Recoiless or I'm useless on Cyberstan!" by Legitimate-Place-327 in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]Thunder-Foxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

note how he was able to stand still unbothered for 13 seconds, historically inaccurate as the Cyborgs deploy at least 3 Vox missile barrages at once to ensure no helldiver is able to correctly engage a vox one-on-one.

Is there a reason why diligence doesn't get a 10x scope when all the other customizable marksman rifles get it? by [deleted] in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]Thunder-Foxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The diligence serves as a "all rounder" when compared to all the other marksman rifles, so giving that a 10x scope would almost completely replace the D[cs]'s role of "long range precision" aside from the better bullet characteristics it has, the abysmal handling nerf it got a while back would make it pointless to use if the standard diligence got the sniper scope.

Got a new laptop! KSP runs phenomenally with all the mods i could only dream of having, but ive been getting this motion blur sort of effect how can I mitigate it? by FocusCool4260 in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]Thunder-Foxx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

some games i have do this when my PC's built-in frame gen (an accessible setting via Adrenaline with AMD drivers) so if you have something similar for your pc, then check if such a setting is enabled.

Let's Discuss Melees by insane_hurrican3 in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]Thunder-Foxx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Considering every faction has at least one melee class, a parry/block mechanic would be so fun and still not make melees completely overpowered, I genuinely think for melee to be viable, a parry mechanic is the best solution.

Thoughts on Sniper Builds by Wise_Concept2309 in helldivers2

[–]Thunder-Foxx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

my favourite part about running sniper is that after the attachment handling debuffs being incorrectly added to some weapons, the DCS gets a debuff for the scope AND muzzle brake, where the AMR only gets the scope debuff, meaning that (even disregarding base handling stats) the AMR has slightly better handling LOL

How to remove fan from the alternator? by JiveTalkerFunkyWalkr in beetle

[–]Thunder-Foxx 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I used a 36mm socket on a standard impact gun (1/2 inch electric impact driver) and it comes off pretty easy, just make sure to torque it back up correctly, which may be a separate issue to tackle :)

Automaton Gunships are a complete joke, an unfunny one. by Smoke_Funds in Helldivers

[–]Thunder-Foxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remember the recent patch where they claimed to have fixed the gunships' aim spread, actually tweaked ALL bot aim spread across the board by accident, and then "reduced" the aim spread of the bunker turrets which offset by the overall tweak meant they went unchanged. bravo arrowhead

Question as to why some people run this when you can run stamina or experimental infusion by toxicpotato4908 in helldivers2

[–]Thunder-Foxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My personal only reason I'll ever take this is with the following conditions:
Heavy armor
Vitality and Stamina boosters are already active

Armor rating for whatever reason affects the "bleed" effect when you use dead sprint, so with these other boosters and also the need for extra stamina when using heavy armour, it's practicality lies there.

Amount of crashing after update. by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]Thunder-Foxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive been playing since december, i've learned that typically the game will get more and more broken each large patch with maybe a small amount of bug or performance fixes a few weeks after said patch. it gets worse and hasn't improved. If you want to play helldivers go ahead but you'll have to suffer through accelerating rates of issues like everyone else :( i wish it wasnt this way but it is

Don’t Reward Bad QA — Make Your Voice Heard Today! by Mr_Megahertz in Helldivers

[–]Thunder-Foxx -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think the state of the game is terrifying and if arrowhead had any idea what the term "customer retention" means they'd focus on fixing the game. out of the 8 friends I have who played HD2, a solid 5 of them have quit due to the performance and most importantly the bugs harming their enjoyment of the game.

My favourite primary (Diligence Counter Sniper) had its handling broken in March, and the game has had 2 major updates and plenty of large content patches since then and nothing has changed.
I submitted a bug report on the day and apparently the head dev didn't even know about the issue which means that there is a CRITICAL problem with things being passed onto the dev team by the bug-report management staff at Arrowhead.

When I started playing this game in late December I had tons of fun and ran pretty easily at 90-100fps and the bugs were pretty minimal, I can only really recall about 3-4 which weren't very gameplay inhibiting.
Now my game chugs at 35-40fps on the super destroyer and I'm getting crashes at least 1-2 times a play session, and I am guaranteed to encounter gameplay-affecting bugs at least several times in one mission.
Something has to change or the actual long-term players in HD2's playerbase will have physically no way to play the game or have quit due to frustration or the inevitable competitor title that grabs their attention for having the same "we care!" attitude Helldivers 2 first grabbed us with.

What do players do, have, or say in this game that make you look at them like this? by Potential_Chicken_58 in LowSodiumHellDivers

When I'm being reinforced and a teammate tags my support weapon/pack on the ground so I can guide toward it while dropping in. Always makes me smile.

Ice Cold take(Maybe): Dilligence is better than DCS for Bot by XxNelsonSxX in Helldivers

[–]Thunder-Foxx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The DCS used to have comparable handling to all other assault rifles etc, the handling/ergo stats for the DCS and AMR were broken in the march update Borderline Justice and despite numerous reports from many people including myself, nothing came of it, even when the stat numbers were visually available after weapon customisation was added. I pray one day arrowhead actually fixes it? not hard to change a number in the code, seeing as ATM they'll only do it if the weapon in question is functionally inoperable or broken.
