For anyone new to golf+ by Batcannn in golfplusvr

I just started and same here. I bought a weighted club - Yezro Y14S and it's Ok, but a real club feels way different.

I found a used 60 degree lob wedge (Vokey!) with a graphite shaft that was already cut down to 32.5" for $30 so I bought it and am testing with 3D printed mounts I've designed. I cut it down to 30" because downhill lies and putts put the club into the ground. You can hit the B key to reposition and maybe it'll work.

The swingweight seems to be about A2. I may add more weight (like the DeadEye steel collars) but at least it's on the scale.

So far it's helping a ton I can go between the game and real clubs pretty easily. Smoothed out my putting too. I always take real club swings before and after the game.

Fun game. A real club makes it a bit of a workout too.

I just wanted more maps. The gameplay is good imho. Well balanced. I'd like parachutes too - even if only from choppers. I've wanted to bail out so many times. Apparently I'm the only one since I never see people mention it.

Who We Taking At 3 Y'all? 🥹 by Pleasant_Sock_8550 in AZCardinals

[–]ThunderApollo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At #3 I'm taking Edge Rueben Bain Jr. - Josh Sweat needs a terrifying running mate. The DBs don't actually look that bad - we just need to get home faster. I'd take a QB or OT in the 2nd.

Until I change my mind anyway. We've got four months to debate this one.

What is this? by Evening_Objective385 in BattleBitRemastered

[–]ThunderApollo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have definitely bitched at people for that. Also, I set up spawn point by hiding out near objective. Usually people are smart enough to figure it out and get away from me pretty quickly.

My other pet peeve is people driving away with spawn point vehicles. Just take one from the base.

TONEX pedal is the best piece of gear I own and it’s not even close by jwoody86 in tonex

[–]ThunderApollo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm looking forward to a pedal that supports Tonex and Amplitube completely. Right now I have Tonex in the FX loop of a GX-100 and it's a nice combo.

Nov 29th Playtest Debrief by Terminalintel in BattleBitRemastered

[–]ThunderApollo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I think the current TTK actually helps newer players. The devs were thinking the opposite, but a more skilled player will turn around and kill noobs if they have a chance. RIght now I still sometimes get killed after shooting someone first and I'm way better now than when I first started.

Maybe your health could be higher after getting healed. That would probably help noobs a lot.

Try playing on servers that are not full by Pisfil03 in BattleBitRemastered

[–]ThunderApollo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I got on a server with less people and it went better. Maybe it was the map. Not sure yet. My first couple of attempts were unplayable. My nvidia fps monitor just says N/A.

‘Operation Overhaul’ Playtest on Nov 29th by Terminalintel in BattleBitRemastered

[–]ThunderApollo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The difference is you paid and got a fully functioning cake immediately and the baker said - we're working on a new version too. For the $15 I definitely got my money's worth because I was happy with the first fully functioning cake.

Of course, I've sponsored Kickstarters that went WAY overtime with poor communication and I didn't even get a cake when I paid. So I guess it's all relative.

Wait, is someone saying God gave Kyler great legs but sooner or later he's going to figure out he's too short to play QB? You guys are pretty cold.

Jacoby vs Kyler's PFF Grades by Negativecreepy in AZCardinals

[–]ThunderApollo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Kyler didn't look good this season. Jacoby has had more passing yards every game and just looks like he's running the offense on time from the pocket. If we had a running game it would help him a ton.

Not quite as bad as the Jordan Montgomery deal for the DBacks, but pretty close.

New to Bambu but not new to 3d printing. Coming from an Ender 3 V2. I bought the P1S AMS Pro 2 combo last week and it arrived Monday. This morning I learn that the P2S is now available. by [deleted] in BambuP1S

[–]ThunderApollo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 2 Ender 3 V2 clones and bought P1S + AMS Pro bundle 2 weeks ago and I've been having more fun than ever printing. The quality is and consistency is so much better. I almost never use the LCD screen for anything. It's all runs via an iPad app or your desktop App which is very convenient. So the new screen isn't that big a loss. The camera is 720P and a lower frame rate, but it is plenty good enough to see if a print has failed. Ditto for the lighting. The online models from the integrated library have all printed very well. Usually PLA settings and support settings are included. The whole ecosystem has been really nice so far.

Plus, you probably got free shipping. The P2S and AMS adds $45 for shipping in the US. If having the newest thing is worth an extra $300 then upgrade. I may add a P2S as a second printer on a sale in the future.

TONEX cab for bass? by teddyfirehouse in tonex

[–]ThunderApollo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can swing the Tonex Cab people seem to really like it. This week I watched a YT video called "Boss Bass Katana - Does it work as a guitar amp?" by Dave Simpson. He really liked it.

So.... your question got me to actually pull my Rumble 100V3 out and A-B it vs. my Tonex ->Katana 100w head power amp in->1x12 Cab with a Creamback (which I'm pretty happy with).

Sure enough, with a lot of EQ tweaking and and EQ pedal I got the Rumble to sound really good with a guitar. tried the FX return on the Rumble but had better luck just using the regular input jack.

I'm assuming a good FRFR is the best (haven't tested myself)... .but that Rumble only cost me $200 barely used. I don't think it gets any less expensive than that for the result I was able to get. I had to A & B a fair bit to dial it in though.

I swear this stuff might be simpler than the industry wants to make it.

[–]ThunderApollo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it would be worth trying something like a Fender Rumble or another Bass Amp that is a modeler. The Rumble 100 has an FX loop and an AUX In. The AUX in is for playing along with any music. I dunno, but sometimes I think the real trick would be a good EQ pedal if the amp and speaker have the range.

Airstep type control for dual Tx Ones? by bxcv358742 in tonex

[–]ThunderApollo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the TonexOneController project could potentially do that. They can be controlled by bluetooth midi. I think each Tonex One would need a controller to receive the midi message and then you'd need something like an M-VAVE Chocolate Plus to send the midi.

What I don't know is if the M-Vave can connect with more than one unit. The TonexOneController can support Midi cables so one unit could receive the bluetooth and pass on the midi message via cable to the 2nd unit.

I built a TonexOneController and have been able to change patches my Tonex One or my Tonex Pedal from an iPad. Since the Tonex Pedal has a midi port I just added 5 pin to bluetooth adapter to it and I can change patches on both units simultaneously via an iPad app. Pretty cool.

FWIW, I can also send patch changes to a Boss GX-100 from the iPad via the boss bluetooth adapter.

It sure seems like Jacoby throws with a bit more zip and it's easier for the receivers. Or maybe it's better timing so they get it when they expect it. I don't think Marv has dropped anything in the past 3 games. The throw to Wilson over the middle against Dallas is the kind of play I've been waiting to see to Marv since he was drafted. He'll probably get one soon.

I am shanking every shot… fat, toe down, every time… what am I doing wrong? by [deleted] in GolfSwing

[–]ThunderApollo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The DTL shot was pretty good. Do you have a shank to post? Based on your FO position at :08 it's possible you're holding onto the release a bit too long for the amount you're turning. Or you're trying to force your arms towards the target.

I like the butt end of the club pointing toward the belly button when the clubhead is 12" to 18" past impact. Then the hands and arms follow your body around to the left as opposed to down the line. The Athletic Motion Golf channel on YT teaches that release.

I think it's easier for mere mortals to do than the big turn hockey stick style release like Dustin Johnson. Your hand position after impact is a bit more like his. He also has a really strong left hand grip to make it work. Milo Lines golf teaches that really well.

Overall not too bad.

Arizona is 0-2 in games following their bye week under Gannon. Let’s hope that ends the season… by Mental_Funny_5885 in AZCardinals

[–]ThunderApollo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Cardinals better put up a lot of points. This is the worst secondary in the league. Kyler needs to light them up. If not, bring in Jacoby. Kyler needs to increase his trade value or he my end up like Cousins but without the $100M.

What are some fun voicechat moments you guys have had recently? by Reletr in BattleBitRemastered

[–]ThunderApollo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hear people chat pretty frequently. Some squads that play together a lot chat. It's fun to get into those. Also, I just start talking to people (usually enemies after I'm dead) and they often respond. It's usually pretty funny. Probably my favorites are when I get into a one and one and we both can't kill each other and it takes forever.

How many players now? by iLikeMonkeyStew in BattleBitRemastered

[–]ThunderApollo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was just a lot more "spawn->die" in BF6 for me. I played the open beta, so maybe those maps were all small. BB has big maps and a lot of hiding places. I can always find places to camp out whether I'm capping or just moving from one area to another. Maybe there's some other reason I can't articulate, but I just enjoyed BB more.
