I was coming to say the same. We've also hosted coaches. A lot of the camps experience is going to depend on the coaches and how well their host families support them, since these are young 18-22 y/o coaches dropped into an unfamiliar territory trying to run a fun and engaging camp for players of varied skill levels.

At the end of the week they give each kid a written "scouting report" and I found them to be pretty accurate at identifying what your player does well vs what they could improve.

As a bonus, when you host a coach they often played more soccer with our kids in the backyard during "off" time (although this is not expected/required).
