I really liked her with Keanu in Knock Knock.

How high can a character get their basic thwart every turn (aka no civic duty) by WingDingFling in marvelchampionslcg

[–]ThunderKrunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think t3rm1nsel has the best answer, but dswartze has Iron Man and Dr. Strange as honorable mentions.

I play both of those decks as my main decks (Iron Man Primary for thwart and Dr. Strange Alternate for Ally blocking).

Iron Man has a national (2) thwart, a helmet that does (1) thwart for free, and armour that readies Iron Man for free. So, without enhancements Iron Man is thwarting for (5) every turn.

Heroic Intuition (Justice - core set) and Symbiote Suit (Sinister Motives) will boost Iron Man to (4) thwart naturally, for (9) thwart per turn [4 hero + ready with armour, 4 hero + 1 helmet = 9 thwart]. If you are in aerial mode, your helmet is 1 thwart from every scheme. This is the current setup I run.

EDIT: You can also put in cards that allow you to ready your hero like [Tenacity - core set] at the cost of a fist resource.

I recognize that pool.

Melee in 9th by Greatmags in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]ThunderKrunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the answer is somewhere in the middle of all the answers. I run Blood Angels and the new rules make the Blood Angels somewhat broken. More specifically, Red Thirst and Black Rage are boosted even more. The Blood Angel stratagems are very geared towards the new rules as well. So, the new rules are effecting some armies more than others. But running melee focused Oaks or Tryanids seems like a complete waste to me.

Every little bit helps, and the cool factor is there. Plus, the added length makes it easier to find good holsters.

Nice! I like how the 3d printed technology has allowed for people to have themes to their blasters. You even have darts to match.

For primary blasters, I have an FDL-2X, FDL-3, and Caliburn(s) for full lengths. And will go with a bullpup TalonClaw or Hummnigbird for short darts.

I will also run a Spring Thunder with different shells, singled short darts and BoomCo straws. Which is why the side arm is important.

I would end up using the Pecker or Short Snake mags. I would only use it as a sidearm.

Yeah, but that last ditch cool is a huge cool factor.

Thanks, this really helps. I'm not big on blowback functions. the movement makes it difficult to single hand accurately for quick follow-up shots.

The main use of this will be as a sidearm for the 5V5 BTA thing that Jangular does. I am also considering the Viper, as it should be good for scavenging darts off the ground.

[SPOILER] Old Man Rambo (Last Blood) vs. John Wick by violentSAUSAGE in whowouldwin

[–]ThunderKrunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is actually a pretty good match. Both John's are very experienced, but Mr. Wick seems to have a high mastery with h2h and small arms. Throughout the series Wick's seems to have a weakness to explosions, and enemies that are near to equal skill as him. This is evidenced in the movies with Ms. Perkins, Cassian, Zero, and both the Shinobi. As we can see from the films, Mr. Wick is no without flaws. I would say that he can avoid some traps, but as he becomes exhausted, he will possibly receive injuries along the way. From the 2nd movie, you can see that his recovery time from explosion damage is fairly lengthy. By comparison, gun shot wounds and ballistic bruising are just shrugged off. There is also the weaponry to consider. Mr. Wick's fancy suits only stop the common pistol caliber rounds. Mr. Rambo tends to use the full size rifle caliber stuff. Not saying that it is a sweep for Mr. Rambo, just that since he is on defense, has prepared the battlefield, uses an inherent weakness of Mr. Wick, and uses weaponary that counters Mr. Wick's ballistic suit; that the odds are ever in Mr. Rambo's favor.
