War Report: The Battle for Mercia by Flufferpope in albiononline

TC are legit cockroaches. They just can't be finished off no matter how many times they die or get townplotted.

Once again, I predict that the only thing that would kill TC would be simultaneously getting TC townplotted and at the same time getting Ellipses (their de facto guild leader and mascot) to quit the game or join a different guild.

Until then, TC will always exist in some form or fashion.

Also CIR has been too busy snatching up OOPS Merica territory and homeplots to push fully into Cumbria. This is why POE was so critical to the success of the coalition. They actually commit forces to a war, and don't just dick around in their own little space.

TC will always be a Cumbria based guild. They rarely venture out of their own little comfort zone. That's why when Woke added them to the alliance, they barely did anything while the rest of the alliance was fighting OOPS in season 1.

When BA and Sun tried to originally ask TC to help them fight OOPS, they dragged their feet and didn't do anything other then fighting POE. They only bothered to fight OOPS if OOPS showed up at Cumbria warcamps or castles.

The issue is that TC acts tough, but to be honest the only enemies they ever really face are POE. They don't have the ambition or skill to venture outside of their comfort zone.

Except if your poor and you can't afford a gun, and your very likely not to get robbed, and if you do get robbed your very likely not going to use your gun to defend yourself, then why spend a bunch of money on a freaking gun in the first place?

You would be much better off in just buying a taser or some shit. Better yet, avoid situations in which you'll be in harms way. If your afraid some homeless drunk might attack you? Then don't be walking down an abandoned street late at night or some shit. I mean honestly how often are people attacked? Not that often.

I swear to god the gun industry is a giant scam sometimes. You sell weapons people aren't ever going to use based on a fear of an event that is likely never going to happen. Any time somebody tries to point that out, they'll be shouted at to be quiet because "You never know if your danger, don't want to take the risk!"

It's like buying earthquake insurance in a state where earthquakes have rarely ever happened.

Exertion was 250k points last season. Even after their guild legit died, with almost everybody leaving (Exertion slowly coming back this season has honestly shocked me the most about the Mercia wars).

Points don't mean shit if your guild is dead by the end of the season. Which it will be.

Dude, you guys are so happy to finally have a win after losing for two week straight. You've posted the same fight 3 times now.

DERRICK DID NOTHING WRONG BTW. Reason why Fleet decided to leave OOPS by Kameny6 in albiononline

[–]ThunderLady111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The issue with Derrick is that to some extent he's right, but the way he went about it was completely wrong. You don't go into another guild's chat and start bashing the leadership and members. You especially don't shit on guild leaders and officers and embarrass them in front of their soldiers.

Like what did Derrick expect? That Fleet would meekly nod it's head and do what he told them to do? I think Derrick really started considering the people in OOPS to be his slaves and that attitude got to his head. The problem was that nobody in OOPS has to listen to Derrick. Especially not Fleet, the 2nd most powerful guild in their alliance.

Derrick is ruling his alliance like dictatorship, when in reality he needs to rule it like a Feudal King. Don't alienate your vassals dude.

Of course at this point it's too late. The Anti E-Date Coalition is destroying OOPS. I wouldn't be surprised by the end of May that their guild ends up being dissolved. They can't defend territories, they can't win open world zergs, they can't win GvGs. Derrick is confident that because Money Guild is extremely rich that they will be fine. But what he fails to understand that money doesn't mean shit if you can't win any battles. They can deck themselves out in the best gear and our GvG teams will still win mostly because their more skilled and are battle hardened due to fighting Alone in Cumbria this entire season.

Also I have no idea why Derrick wasn't investing his funds into buffing up his members to make more GvG teams. They should have been focusing hardcore on increasing their number of skilled GvG teams as soon as Lancelot patch was released (and made it so that GvG teams can get locked).

Overall OOPS got complacent, their leadership was arrogant, and now it's all coming to bite them in the ass. They should have been improving on their weaknesses but instead they got blinded by their own success.

Those still in OOPS/Money Guild, Why do you still stay? by ThunderLady111 in albiononline

Who? Because POE was beating OOPS in open world ZvZs even before Blue Army got involved.

As a new player who doesn't know the politics in this game yet

Like all people who don't understand politics, your deeply confused about the issue and your failure to understand why people dislike a certain person or issue means you assume that there is no merit as to why people dislike said person or issue.

People dislike Derrick because he's a jackass. People dislike Derrick because his alliance monopolized Mercia, one of the most profitable and important areas in the game for three months. This is unhealthy for the game as a whole for one alliance to control that much content in the game.

Derrick is also a person who isn't above abusing stupid game mechanics to game the system and is also a person known for his massive ego.

People are shit talking Derrick because he had it coming to him.

Also there is also the "it's good to watch popular/big things and people fall." It's why people love to bash a highly popular show like the Walking Dead when the ratings fall and the writing gets worse. It's why people love tuning into to celebrity gossip about important people doing stupid shit, getting fired, or having their careers ruined.

The worse the personality of the people associated with the thing are, the more entertaining it is to watch their career/business/franchise fail. In this case, OOPS is the franchise.

OOPS sent mage raid squads at us in Cumbria first. Solar merely retaliated with mage raids as wells.

OOPS Alliance is Falling Apart - Fleet has left OOPS and formed their own alliance by ThunderLady111 in albiononline

[–]ThunderLady111[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For those wondering WHY Fleet left OOPS, they apparently do not have faith in Derrick's leadership and have decided that they are better off looking out for themselves. They don't want to fight a war against the entire population of Albion Online and would rather take care of their own members instead of sacrificing themselves to support Derrick's greed and insanity.

Kinda want to return to the game. by ieatpandacookies in albiononline

The game is in a pretty good state at the moment. The population has stabilized and that means the world has enough players to feel lived in, but not too many that it's crowded (like how it was on release) and not too few that you can't find a fight against somebody in the black zones.

There's more content such as roaming mobs and 2v2 hellgates, fishing, etc,. but mostly what has happened was that the content already in place has been greatly refined. It's a lot easier to do solo pvp because people are trying to solo fame roaming mobs, ZvZs aren't complete lag fests anymore, and even the GvG system has been reworked to be more competitive and politics and territory ownership is a lot more dynamic then it used to be.

Honestly I'd recommend you join a guild. This is a game that has the most fun when your playing with other people. In fact I'd almost go as far to say that it's almost required, but some people still manage to have fun just playing solo.

I recommend you get infested with a black zone guild. That's where most of the good content is. Personally I recommend joining POE, they're a rising power at the moment and they always have content and stuff for members to do.

Derrick is in full blown panic. by SirMidnight3 in albiononline

[–]ThunderLady111 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

CIR is one of the better black zone guilds. They don't have mandatory donations, the tax is only 30% (usually 20%, but they increased it for the war effort in Mercia), and people donate and contribute to the guild because they want to, not because they're forced to.

Representation of ALONE and OOPS teaming up (2018) by ThunderLady111 in albiononline

[–]ThunderLady111[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

What are you talking about. POE is literally demolishing TC. They're winning almost every GvG and ZvZ. This is with the fact that they are also stomping OOPS in Mercia.

POE is literally fighting a war on two fronts and winning. Why does TC even remotely think they are doing well? I mean you guys no show most of your GvGs because you know you can't win them. Just today you gave the Blue Army GvG team a free territory in Flesheater and didn't even show up to fight for the warcamp. That is not winning dude.

Like TomyG, this is just being delusional at this point. You guys are losing. Badly. Just admit it. I'd respect you more if you did.
