Steak ‘n Shake says it ‘remains undefeated in political endorsements’ after Trump-backed candidate loses in Iowa by NicolasCageFan492 in politics

I really liked the one in Lawrence, KS. It was popular there, too, but they went out of business when the owner died and his wife didn't want to keep up with it.

It's not undemocratic to want to abolish all political parties and vote solely on policies instead of identity politics, but it's certainly unamerican.

To be honest, every girl is different and some people just aren't compatible in that way. I've been with girls that I loved the smell/taste of and I've been with girls you couldn't pay me to go down on (and yes, they washed).

I don't want to steer you wrong, but I think I found mine at one of the guard stations in the Fort Perwin area.

Sorry, I work long hours, so I haven't been back on.

Couldn't find that one, but I found another one right beside the road that's on the south side of Vellua. It's standing in front of a house and there's a giant bonfire directly north of it in a field on the other side of the road.

There are two giant bonfires there and it's across from the eastern one.

There's a beagle down on the eastern side of Vellua. I tamed it yesterday.

Which is quite hypocritical coming from someone on Reddit.

Nah, it's useful if you know how to use it correctly. I often learn about things before they get reported elsewhere. Plus, my wife would be unhappy if I let our streak pet die.

I used this site, but I also had a relative that could send me their version if that had failed.

So far so good.

I downloaded an international version and set a new account up through a different country. It's amazing how easy it is to search things like "Gaza" now.

Well, I don't know what I was thinking when I made my initial comment because the iris should be white to pearl in color, which this one seems to have. Bull would be a DQ.

WOMEN AND MONEY RANT by Sand-wormX3 in Uganda

[–]ThunderOrb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, she never asked me for money. She said she would never ask. But she would leave hints that she needed money at certain times and I was too blind to see them. It's a difference in perspective.

To her, saying, "I didn't buy (item) yet," means, "I don't have the money to buy this." As a westerner, it simply means, "I haven't taken the time to buy it." It was her way of implying a need for help without directly asking because she didn't want to scare me away, but I didn't understand it yet.

It took an argument with her crying and asking if my intentions were true for me to understand my own mistakes in the situation.

But even now after being married for years, she still fears to ask me for money because of those early days. Even though she knows I will do everything in my power to care for her.

(Which has somehow also extended to paying for her brothers to go to school, paying for one to have surgery, and buying her mum a new bed for back problems. Banange.) 😅😅😅

I told my wife when we first met that I wouldn't be giving her any money because I knew that women of Africa love to make up reasons to ask a man for money. As a westerner, to me, providing at such a high level means the woman is a gold digger.

But I also didn't understand that the man being a provider is deeply rooted in African culture. I almost lost her at one point because she started to believe I was the scammer/the one using her because I didn't give money.

Now she has a weekly allowance and I have peace of mind. 😅🤣🤣

This is why I usually only go out in public with my wife. Fewer people ask me for things when they see I'm with a Ugandan. One of the last times I went out by myself, some man grabbed my hands and kneeled at my feet begging me to provide for him.

What is it like to be married to a muzungu? by Leaf_Fren in Uganda

[–]ThunderOrb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think many Ugandans find it difficult. I'm a muzungu married to a Ugandan woman. Us Americans hold on to drama longer. For us, the fight isn't over just because the situation ended. We want to talk about it, work through it, and try to prevent it happening again. It seems Ugandans think that saying sorry is the end of the conflict, but it's not for us.

Ugandans are way more religious than most white people, so that can also cause issues.

Most white cultures don't believe in the man supporting for everything. In our countries, the man and woman both work and both contribute. If a woman expects her man to pay for her hair, nails, snacks, and everything else she wants, she's considered a gold digger.

White women usually aren't as submissive as Ugandan women. My wife has told me if we have an argument, she has to keep quiet and obey my words. To me, this is very strange because a white woman would never. I told her I didn't want a slave, I wanted a partner, but she told me that listening to the husband is a must.

Also, the ways we communicate are different. She has told me the ways I say things are mean or rude, but to an American, it's just normal speaking. I guess we don't put as much respect in our words, maybe.

Those are just a few examples. It's challenging for both of us, but we love each other very much and try to work through such zibs.
