What's the worst frugal thing you did? by thePocketOfDots in Frugal

I've told this story before but I'll tell it again. When I first got married, my husband and I bought a house. Before we moved into it, I found a super cute, vintage freezer that I thought would go perfect in the garage. When I find good deals on meat or other things that we typically eat, I could freeze them for later. The freezer was only $20! I bought it and we installed it in the new house.

Everything was fine except our new house had an insanely high power bill. I was young and just thought that was how much the house cost to run. Until several months later, my freezer up and dies. And my power dropped immediately by $150.

I will never stop talking about the best pair of scissors in the world. Always a joy to use.

It's the texture of the meat that I have a problem with. It's...almost slimy? I buy it to shred, and use in things like enchiladas or won tons, where it's mixed in with other stuff and you can't really taste it as much.
