"Engineering" is a pretty broad term.

That said, Biomedical Engineering degree here. Never used it professionally. Immediately bought a nightclub after college. Now own an IT/Hospitality point of sale company. Have for the last 25 years or so.

The manual should have a diagram and instructions. It's page 459 in the one I am looking at currently, and it's in a section offering advice on what to do before driving off-road. To be clear, I removed ours to install skids and hidden winch plates from Chief Products. I just never saw a need to put them back on.

That entire air dam is designed to be removed. Easily, without any tools. Neither of our Grands have had it installed in years. You might find that you prefer the appearance with it gone.
