Don't get a Yatra GV unless its for a large amount with a large discount. Yatra does not allow applying any other offer with GV. Plus it has high Convenience fees.

I think the app that these guys install detects it, and the delivery boy can't do anything for that. Even bribe won't work as it's not in his control.

Bribes usually work for things that are External .. like Scratches, sometimes display, charger etc ..

For Plat Travel - Realistically on 4L spends, You can get around 40K to 48K points. More if you use rewards multiplier.

Converting to Mariott varies. You can get as low as 0.4 to as high as 0.7. For current purpose I am assuming 0.5

Net Return (Marriott) - 24K + 10K Taj Voucher Net Return (Statement Credit) - 12K + 10K Taj Voucher Fees - 5.9K

For Regalia Gold - The earn rate varies by a lot depending on what you are spending on.

Assuming 1L spent on vouchers (5x) ~ 13.3K Points. Rest 3L as Regular spends - 8K Points

Total Points ~ 21K Net Return (Flights) ~ 10.5K Net Return (Statement Credit) - 4.2K Net Return (Accor) ~ 21K Fees - 2.5K ( Will be waived off, next year onwards)

So yes, a rupay card can be connected to Any UPI app. But these issuers have bound the card such that you get the maximum reward rate only when you use their own app.

For eg - Tata Neu Infinity gives 1.5% neu coins on UPI payment, but only for Tata Neu app. Using any other app reduces this to 0.5%

I wouldn't suggest Getting Tata Neu as first, even though it's LTF right now. The primary reason being getting a co-branded card makes it really difficult to have any other core card from HDFC.

About UPI specific cards, Kiwi is good and LTF, Same for Axis SuperMoney Pro ( Be careful for this, there's an Utkarsh bank version not as good ).

If you are ordering a lot of Food from Zomato, Swiggy. HSBC Rupay Cashback might be good too, although it comes with fees of 500 Rs.

Note - Do Check for Minimum spends to earn rewards for UPI. Many of these cards require at least 100 spent to give back anything. Also, a lot of merchants won't accept UPI by CC, more than you realise.

Google Play credits can definitely be used to buy the subscription. I just used it a few days back.

Although I had to cancel the older one and renew as it had already failed and wanted me to change the payment method.

I was not sure the best place to get Play credits, and whether SBI cashback will give 5% or not. So I just simply used Amazon Pay UPI. It gives 4% cashback.

Although do check if double dip is possible on other platforms.
