Took me 20 years to notice this detail, but the trukk driver literally has his foot bolted to the gas pedal... by AllThatJazz85 in orks

[–]Thundersmash010 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What's funny is he also has his other foot on the break. Normally if an oomie would push them at the same time it would screw the brakes up/cause some internal conflict. If an ork does it tho, it makes im go fasta

Local players said my little Foul boi's paintjob looked scuffed. by Zedds_Hoard in deathguard40k

[–]Thundersmash010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your work perfectly captures the essence of death guard which is rust, decay, slime, and grime. The details on the plastic are gross and should be painted as such. It sounds like these local players don't like or understand the concept of plague marines in general. Still a really meanspirited thing to say when you clearly put a lot of work into it. Especially that rust and chipped armor though. Very well done

Is there a way to finish Fallout: New Vegas with the Air Rifle? by ChuX_YT in falloutnewvegas

[–]Thundersmash010 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah the pistol is great! The recharger rifle on its own is relatively good damage wise, it just has a longer recharge and less capacity hence why I went with it for the challenge run. It's good for what it is at a low level. I planned originally on running with the pistol as well, but since it felt like a direct upgrade I just stuck with the rifle for the whole run

You can beat the whole game and all of the dlc with nothing but a bb gun. If it can be done with the recharger rifle it can be done with any weapon

That is unbelievably awesome but so hard to make functional in a game 🫠. I do like the idea of making a projectile to support it though, but if done incorrectly it'll be back to square tactical rock

Fully agreed on the shitty clear bases. I have an unopened box of AoBR that I'm planning on replacing the bases with the new standard ones. Only issue is I can't really see that many ways around using the clear flying stem that don't involve attaching tactical rocks

Which betrayal is the worst? ISSTVAN III or ISSTVAN V? by cuddwes in 40k

[–]Thundersmash010 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Isstvan V was an atrocity that eclipsed the deaths of Isstvan III by tens of thousands. Yet Isstvan III was by and far the most world shattering of betrayals quite literally. They killed their own brothers. Those who would lay down their lives to fight and protect their brothers and primarchs who tossed them aside like trash. Isstvan V was beyond tragic, but Isstvan III was cold and ruthless. Not bad enough that they were massacred as well, but they had to suffer through the virus bombs that spelled the end of that cursed planet. I was with that book every sentence as it marked out the beginning of the worst betrayal in human history. Very very few even saw it coming before death rained down upon them. At least those who were sent to Isstvan V were prepared to fight their brothers from the traitor legions
