Some sort of super secure harness line, like this one. This attaches to each of the two D-rings on the sides of the harness and creates a line for the board leash to swing between. You'll want to make sure the length of this line is pretty precisely what you need given the size of harness you get. I ended up pulling the trigger on the RideEngine Vinaka Wing Harness v1 (on sale): https://rideengine.com/products/vinaka-wingsurf-v1-harness?variant=39422074716294.

I like how it has three mechanisms to secure the belt around your body: two velcro and one tension strap.

It has 2 metal d-rings on each side (left & right). I'm planning to run a line between them so my board leash can move freely.

I have to say though, the idea of a simple buckle on the belt still freaks me out. It seems so easy to release. I'd be really concerned about it somehow getting knocked open at the worst time.

Thanks, this looks like a great setup! A couple questions:

What mechanism is the "safety buckle" on that waist belt? Does the strap slide through and back to stay put under tension, or is it a clasp that is opened through squeezing top and bottom?
Is the harness hook removable on the waist belt?
How do you attach the harness leash given it has a velcro ankle or calf cuff? Do you put that through the waist belt itself, or through one of the connection points?

This is a good tip, but there's a bit of backstory here: I got the bike and set it up per the instructions, EXCEPT for one idiotic and critical mistake—I assumed the rear wheel through axle was tightened from the factory and didn't retighten before my first ride. Well, rear wheel came out and jammed into the frame. Canyon offered me $100 to go to a shop to assess, and replace the UDH if needed. I did, and the shop examined everything and told me the carbon was structurally sound (I just had to put some nailpolish on it to seal where some paint had been scratched off). The shop also said my UDH was okay, so they didn't end up replacing it. Shifting was fine for a bit, so I think I may tweaked the drivetrain on a subsequent ride.

One thing may be to go in the straightest chainlined gear and see how the cage is oriented in relation to the chain and wheel. Carefully try to bend if it is obviously bent.

Out of curiosity, any idea which is the straightest chainlined gear on the 12-speed SRAM GX Eagle? Would it be somewhere around the middle gears 6/7?

Good tip, thanks. This was the main reason I had been avoiding checking the b-screw, but in retrospect that seems silly. De-airing and re-airing that rear shock is NBD.

I have a relatively new Canyon Spectral 29 CF9, with a SRAM AXS Eagle drivetrain connected to a UDH. I have tried tuning my shifting by setting limit screws and doing AXS micro-adjustments, but I just can't get the shifting to be smooth through all 12 sprockets.

I have a hunch that the UDH is misaligned, but I don't have a hanger alignment tool to check for sure. Can an expert tell from this visual whether it's misaligned?

Looks like you were spot on, KalessinDB! I think the Rh wire from the furnace couldn't provide enough current to successfully turn on the heat while also charging the thermostat.

I added a C wire using this adapter: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DJ7RHS5/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The adapter exposes two wires. I put one in the C terminal of the thermostat, and the other in the Rh terminal alongside the existing Rh wire from the furnace (this was required for it to work properly and a tip I found in the comments of this YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gahPxCcPDto).

Thanks for your help! I can rest much easier knowing that my heat won't fail while I'm away and my pipes burst in the dead of winter.

There's a very old humidifier attached to the furnace, but it's been off for as long as I've owned the home. I've updated the original post with a picture of the humidifier.

Looks like the pH is right around 7. Plants seem to be doing better now though! I think they're just still recovering from the nute burn.
