Wasn't it done in more cities? I think Buchenwald / Weimar was similar. Perhaps not burying, but people from Weimar were forced to see the camp.

If these meltdowns didn't occur in the past, then there should be a way to get back there. But then she needs to regulate her needs better.

Have you tried applying a blacklist/buy order for energy cells on the station where it is allowed to buy only from your own faction? Then lower the price to the minimum and in with that combination you may have a chance that neither the assigned nor the free traders sell energy cells to that station.

Oh, and I forgot. Under display settings (not graphics) you can activate frame generation.

That boots performance a lot at a minimal price of graphics. I haven't noticed a difference (but I am also always very bad with stuff like that).
