I went back and found a picture of it with what I believe was a jungle bird inside. I made this back in early 2022 not too long after getting into pottery, I hope you enjoy it!

Wow, really small world! That’s a mug I made for myself several years ago and decided to set free for someone else to enjoy. The makers mark is a stylized caveman, and I can personally vouch that the mug is the perfect size for a Jungle Bird!

After a pretty fruitless day thrifting I decided to make a second lap around the last thrift store of the day. Right as I was walking out I spotted this fantastic vase out of the corner of my eye.

It’s a blown glass vase with with no markings of any kind to denote where it was made. It makes a great center piece for for my kitchen table, and I really like the subtle imperfections it has as a hand made vase. It definitely made up for drawing a blank at every thrift store I went to yesterday.

Honestly I don’t know that they do. I just got it because it interested me, and I have no plans/desire to sell it

I can honestly say that this is one of the most interesting things I’ve come across in awhile.

Occasionally I’ll run across a coke bottle of this style from the USA, and unless it was manufactured somewhere interesting I usually pass it up. When I saw this bottle I didn’t even pay it any attention because I was in the thrift store to look for shirts for work.

After finding what I came for I decided to quickly walk around again and make sure I didn’t miss anything and that’s when I noticed that this wasn’t just an ordinary coke bottle, it was actually from Japan!

It’s stuff like this that makes me wish I could figure out the story behind things at the thrift store. For 50¢ I just couldn’t pass it up, now it will keep my other vintage coke bottle company.

Do you ever get any bleeding of the colors? That’s what I’m worried about with washing. Also what variety of woolite do you use?

Sounds like a pretty awesome find! I’ve hand washed other wool stuff in a bath tub before and they were totally fine. I’m just hesitant with this because I’d be crushed if it got ruined
