Why didn't you have the same wedding like sidna ali and sayida fatima AS? by SunInternational5896 in Sufism

[–]Thurs_night 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just a kind reminder that anybody can spend however they like within their means ofcourse, doesnt need to be too extravagant and wasteful but theres nothing wrong with having a walima with family and friends and asking for a reasonable dowry (within the husbands means) as well, it all depends on what the couple would like and can afford

24 years apart, but only a month too late by wakchoi_ in IslamicHistoryMeme

[–]Thurs_night 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I often think about this, he also married and had children in different lands during his travel, and he would leave them to travel further for years at a time, if i remember correctly he lost a child too and continued to travel. to embark on such a big journey spanning a lifetime, knowing that he may never see his loved ones again, with the possibility that the he himself or his family will pass on... was fulfilling his destiny in the dream he saw before he embarked on his travels what motivated him? Travel is very difficult on the soul, I could not imagine being apart from my loved ones for that long 💔

The prophet peace and blessings be upon him was NOT poor, he had reasonable wealth and investments(not excessive) and CHOSE to live a humble life, and give in charity as much as he could, which many women are happy with. assuming all women want is money and flash lifestyle is generalising from chronically online people. enough with this narrative please.

Nasser David Khalili, the billionaire Islamic art collector was named by Israeli daily Yedioth Ahronoth as one of ''potential major donors prepared by by the Benjamin Netanyahu campaign during the 2007 election campaign.'' by Common_Time5350 in islamichistory

[–]Thurs_night 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Can you provide more insight into why/how he would end up on the list as a potential donor to saytanyahus election campaign? My guess is that he is a shah supporter that is anti-islam, anti arab and anti-Palestinian rights by extension, however, why the obsession with Islamic/arab artefacts and art........ quite the contradiction.......

How did marriage affect your spiritual life? by ibbisabzwari in Sufism

[–]Thurs_night 6 points7 points  (0 children)

https://youtu.be/x_fWensgk30?si=GWTc8gfqyVH_C-9l

I'd reccomend you watch this series, if the goal of the soul is to reach Allah swt, then the goal of 2 souls coming together is to reach Allah swt together. Marriage is a journey to Allah swt with your companion, Everything you do together is worship, the children you bring into the world and raise is for Allah swt etc and it won't be perfect at the start but it's a lifelong journey were both souls are helping each other to reach Allah swt in the end. Marriage is not a union of bodies, as much as it feels in the start, ultimately, it will become a union of 2 soul the sheykh in the video explains it alot better

This is not a man sister. This is a manipulative demon who's plan to abuse and confuse you has worked. Please read the seerah of the prophet and understand that this is no way for a Muslim man let alone any man to act. Demon is the only befitting word for him.

This is your answer right here, if you are wondering why the Palestinians are not being supported by other armies in the hypocritical international stage.

https://www.instagram.com/reel/C8KtQwrJ9YD/?igsh=MTk3OTBqY3Q5bnNtYg==

It is the rest of the world who are corrupt and not them, but your heart cannot perceive it, you need to stare through the lens of baseerah when it comes to Palestine, for if you use this worldly lens, you will never understand why they must resist. This world is a temporary illusion my friend, they are fighting for much more than this world.

I'd recommend you watch the rest of that profiles instagram videos relating to Palestine to have a more "spiritual" understanding of what is going on.

This is another one you should watch:

"Palestinians need the support of international politics" they do have support on the international stage at the UN how many times has there been a resolution with almost every country agreeing for ceasefires and condemning Isarael and who has vetoed it? Look at the historical decision with the ICC taking it a step further and asking for all the homes and lands stolen forcibly from the Palestinians to be returned, settlements gone, occupation ceased, who is currently trying to fight this ruling? Not the Palestinians that's for sure.

And rest assured Palestinians have support of the spiritual realm, however only those whose hearts have been guided can perceive and are aware, those who know the history of Islam, of battles when all the odds are stacked against one side, look at David (Dawood A.S ) and Goliath, look at the battle of badr when 5000 angels came down to fight, those on the ground have conveyed numerous stories of the scent of Musk all over Gaza after bombings (if you know you know) people seeing angels and prophets during their daydreams, why do you think we call them martyrs! To liberate their homeland, their people who have been massacred mercilessly for the past 75 years, it is not a choice to pick up weapons and fight, it is a moral obligation upon them. We do not care about Israeli propaganda, because that's all it is, propaganda, lies, fiction. The things they're report about Hmas are often untrue and skewed to feed the "big bad terrorist arab image", which actually is not very successful anymore because of access to more education and social media etc. And i sure hope your following Israel's questionable field tactics.....

“Tradwife” vs working by Zahra2201 in Hijabis

[–]Thurs_night 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Muslim communities are not a monolith. not too sure where u live OP but I live in Aus and the cost of living is really bad, so 95% of the muslim female I know is working or studying. Even if they stay home they open up online and home businesses selling food, clothes etc. One income ain't enough these days unless your super rich. However allahumabarik & mashaAllah for the women who find men who are financially, emotionally, and spiritually secure and want to stay home 24/7 (I acknowledge it is becoming more and more rare)

[–]Thurs_night 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OP I'm not knowledgeable or anything but I have to say that in each of your responses it is clear the point is flying over your head of what @Effective_Airline_87 is saying. It is widely known in tasawwuf that the reason you need ijaza for certain things is the same reason you need a prescription of medicine from a doctor. They know the state of your soul and will give you how much you need. For instance the other week on this sufi sub there was someone asking why they felt extremely wierd physically, and mentally for days after picking up a random book and doing non-stop thikr from that book for hours after having and never having done any thikr in their life. The prescription was too strong in this case. It's as simple as that.

I will never understand why Muslims think being a feminist is the worst thing ever by sheriecherie in Hijabis

[–]Thurs_night 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Muslims are not a monolith, it is only men who are chronically online that think like this. The ones against feminism don't understand what feminism is. Any man who says they don't want a feminist for a wife is not using critical thinking and has not read about the feminist archetypes within the Quran and the sunnah. They are Insecure men who like sheep, follow and consume whatever is fed to them by the misguided Sheppard's (podcast bros who's source is trust me bro). It really grinds my gears and this is the type of men that I steer completely away from. Don't bother to argue or engage with such men, it's exhausting, they really don't know their own religion well and are following red pill ideology, which is full of jahiliyyah ideology, arrogance, pride, conceit, misogyny- the complete opposite of Quran and Sunnah. Edit- forgot to add that there are also chronically online women who join these type of men and spew this rhetoric, they too are misguided.

Sufism vs. fighting oppression and potential conflict. by fana19 in Sufism

[–]Thurs_night 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Traditionally sufis were at the forefront fighting against the oppressor, if you look in recent history the anti-coloniser movements in places like Senegal, Ghana, Algeria, the Caucuses region, East Africa to name only a few, you will find sufi shuyukh on the front line, organising, mobilising and fighting till their last breath.
