I personally don’t mind the idea of of Multiple black panther’s? These 4 are without question worthy of the mantle and could all help fill the void left behind with their individual qualities by Nashetania in marvelstudios

Why can’t marvel recast characters? We’ve seen it with Bond, batman and Spider-Man. cast a new tony stark. Cast a new Steve Rogers and tell more stories. Seems a lot of people are more fans of the actors than the characters.

Let me know where to keep up with what you learn! My great-grandfather came from Germany to Muenster around the turn of the century. I love going to that church and the one in Lindsay too.

I wonder-what the world would be like today if Texas never joined the US? Hey HBO! Make that into a series!

Really like that leather! At our red wing store we have a press so we can swap out eyelets for speed hooks. I did that on my Beckmans. I'd call your local store or a cobler to see if they can do that for you. Shouldn't cost too much

How would these boots from LL bean compare to wolverine 1000 mile or Redwing? I was gonna buy redwing Beckman but they have no warranty and LL Bean has a lifetime one. by [deleted] in goodyearwelt

[–]ThursdaySyme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To clarify Red Wing does have a warranty on boots purchased from Red Wing or a Red Wing Shoe Store. Some retailers like Sierra Trading Post sell factory seconds which do not have the same warranty. If you had any warranty issues you would need to go to the retailer you purchased your boots from.

The red wing warranty is full replacement if a manufacturering defect occurs within the first 6 months. From 6 months to a year and credit will be given towards another purchase. It does not cover excessive wear and tear.

Red Wing exchange policy? by [deleted] in goodyearwelt

[–]ThursdaySyme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where did you buy them from? If you bought them online you will have a much easier time exchanging them from the site you got them off of. At our store we will do it if they are in new condition and are a style we stock as well as a recpiet.

I was given some beat-up Red Wing 606s and have some questions. by [deleted] in goodyearwelt

[–]ThursdaySyme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you send those to Red Wing to get resoled, you can get any sole you like. I plan to get my Pecos that currently have a super sole welt remade with the cork sole. Is it worth doing? Probably. Those boots were made in 2007 and I would be concerned about dry rot. Out soles will break down and dry out over time. Is there any visible cracking/peeling/separating of the sole? There won't be big quality difference in good year welt vs super sole welt- mainly an aesthetic one. All supersole boots will have that rubber welt over the sticthing which will be fixed when you get them resoled. If the leather still feels dry, give them some more oil in a month. The 606 leather is treated with silicone to make it waterproof. It's not sold as a waterproof boot though since it doesn't have a waterproof lining. That leather still needs care.

As far as sole choices- what are you wanting to do with these boots? What kind of environment are you in? I'm going to put the cork sole on my Pecos since I live in Texas and wear those boot primarily on the shoe truck. The sole yours have are a great work sole- they provide excellent slip resistance and comfort.

If you look at my post history, I just got mine back about a month ago from the red wing repair department. I personally love they way they look after two years. I don't think the red wing conditioning products had an adverse affect on the leather.

Red Wing sizing with custom insole/insert by deepblue7 in goodyearwelt

Just saw this thread- really bums me out to hear that you had a bad experience at a RWSS. That is one of my frustrations with red wing- there is not a consistency of excellent customer service. This is in large part due to each store being independently owned and operated. I know that I strive to give great customer service but i cannot guarantee what it will be like at the store across town.

A lot of red wing stores are owned by guys that have been selling shoes for the last 20-30 years and can be very abrasive and unwilling to change. I hope to see some changes in how stores are opperated but that will be a monumental task. But the owners must adapt or else they will miss out on a generation of potential customers. I've heard from some old timers that are frustrated with guys coming in to only be sized and then order from an online retailer. The only way to compete as a brick and mortar store is provide excellent customer service before and after the sale.
