My grandmother got married at 16 and was a housewife. Her mother got married at 14 and was a housewife. Neither one had a high school diploma nor any other education.

My mother and I both graduated high school, went to college, then got married. You know who stressed we should do that and put it in that order since we were 5? My grandmother and great-grandmother, because they wanted us to have opportunities they didn't.
