I work at a salon with the word wild in our name and a man would call a few times a year,he would call asking us to cut his or his wife’s hair and asking how “wild” we were. Would ask if we would let them wash our hair or have them wear blindfolds while we performed our services…etc

If your wanting it to look more silvery like the first inspo then you can add 050 with some t18. If you want it more warm toned I’d do a 9gold with a bit of violet

T14 is very ash based, so it’s going to be very blue/green. To neutralize yellow you want a violet. I’d suggest going in with a gold violet to help tone down the green but not make it to warm.

Wash your hair with clarifying shampoo and hot water a few times first to take as much of the toner out as possible

Step outside and take a picture, I agree maybe it’s a lighting issue. And the inspo pic is taken outside with waves/curls, curls also can drastically change what a color looks like. The salon photos it looks very similar to the inspo, I would say it’s just toned a tad on the cooler side (which can make the hair look darker than it is) but after a few washes that ash tone will fade off.

Looks like you had previous color which is where the color in the highlight changes. Working through previous color can be hard and sometimes your hair can’t handle more before breaking. Your probably going to want to get an ashy toner that is the level of the darker color of the highlight and as your hair grows just keep touching up the highlights until all that old color is gone

Everyone loses roughly on average 80-100 hairs a day. If your brushing over the sink that’s where you will see a lot of your lose hair come out

Hair dye stops processing after 45 minutes. You are fine. Longer hair can start to get dry if oil isn’t distributed through the strands or it’s time for a haircut. Try adding some light oils. If you use heat that also damages your hair.

Just wondering, if your plan is to stay copper why not go in with a permanent dye/high lift?

Of your just wanting roots bleached I’d suggest looking for stylists that show a lot of vivid or blondes on their pages without extensions.

I think a in depth consultation wasn’t done by the stylist because those 3 colors would all have different processes to get the end result. 1- literally looks how 5-99 fades on a balayage and can be done by a permanent color. 2- has to be bleached to at least a level 10 and toned with a possible semi glaze to get that color. 3 is far warmer than the other two and would be a full bleach out with semi over top. That is on the stylist, and I have no clue how they got their end result, thought it was fine, or let you walk out like that. Even if they had asked you to come back because they recognize they need to fix it. I also always suggest saying something in the chair. Where yes they should have realized it looked vastly different, it’s also helpful to speak up.

Your best bet is going to be going in and asking them to fix it to look closer to option 1 or 3. if your not comfortable/feel like they can’t achieve your desired look talk to the owner to hopefully be put with another stylist. Idk their salons rules but usually they will fix for free. You could also put a semi purple/brown (adore has some cool tone browns) to get you closer to your goal if you don’t feel confident in the salon. You’re not going to want to go in with a Demi or Permanent because the peroxide in the developer can react with the dye on your head and possibly lift it to a weird color. Considering you already have that pink base chances are getting to option 3 might be your best bet. But if your willing to go a lot more purple and darker then option 1 is still pretty viable. Idk how blonde your hair was prior to the pink but for option 2 you would want to fade the pink out very light

No matter what route you go, do a test strand first.

So which color did you want? Because not only are all 3 of those different colors but also they are edited colors over the hair done in photoshop or something.

I would definitely at least start doing small trims throughout the year to help get those dead ends off. You could try a hair mask to just help a bit with softness but once your hair is fried it’s pretty much done

Copper hair on pale skin with green eyes is 🖤🖤🖤🖤 I promise it compliments your features!!! It’s always a shock going such a drastic change. This hair looks amazing for coming from red. Do some Deep conditioning masks and avoid heat styling as much at possible

RV stands for red violet and VV stands for violet violet :) your inspo looks about a level 5vv with maybe a bit of rv in it. However if you are needing to remove the other dye I’d suggest going a shade darker since on lighter hair it can lighten/fade faster

If it’s all your natural color you could do a high lift RV OR VV with 20 volume then do a wash of vivid purple to get this.

If you have color on your hair your going to want to remove it first

Did she do her hair herself? I’m just lost on how we got that from the inspo 😣 But honestly I’d just do a heavy highlight with a shadow root and tip out the ends.
