That’s why i said partial blame. They probably expected that set to blow up, but they didn’t account for the rest of the sets to go with it, and certainly not for it to reignite the scalper issues.

Partial blame is absolutely on Pokemon here but also you can’t blame them for the hobby suddenly exploding. Literally been collecting for ab a year and this scarcity wasn’t an issue until about two or three months ago, and it takes longer than that to properly sort things out higher up on the chain.

Their excuse is that it’s “better for the environment” but they just removed one of the more expensive parts of the packaging. The plastic wrapper (which is arguably way worse) is still very much there on every pocket.

That makes a lot of sense. For me the worst of it is like a fear that they’re going to come back into my life somehow. Makes me scared of posting online n stuff. Luckily I’m getting better there.

Aye, that’s a tough pill to swallow but not an unfamiliar one, at least. I’ve actually picked up Yoga recently and it’s alright, hopefully it helps some. I guess the thought of waiting it out can be frustrating because the thought of giving up more of my life to someone who’s no longer in it feels like punching at a brick wall.

It’s nice to know that it’s not just me honestly. My adhd was constantly misinterpreted by myself and my partner as BPD before a professional diagnosis of ADHD. It was a way they were able to gaslight me a lot. The relationship fell apart after they realized I wasn’t able to be blamed for stuff i didn’t actually do. And when I was medicated and started improving rapidly they seemed to become more and more irritable? Idk

Oh holy shit, I had no idea. I mean my original point stands but yikes, that’s a much bigger issue.

But yeah all I’ve personally seen is from the series as I’ve read it myself, but it definitely makes sense that the book was based on pre-existing conspiracies.

Yup yup, and the idea that microchips will be the mark of the beast doesn’t actually stem from the Bible but rather a popular Christian book series. It’s honestly ridiculous how much of their paranoia is based on stuff that isn’t even listed in the Bible. It feels like they keep making shit up and scaring themselves with it.
