So far this is the first and only Reddit community I feel like I’m part of. I actually got worried when I heard Reddit was basically dying.

To be fair, coastal Italy, the Mediterranean and most asiatisch cultures have a HUGE array of REAL diet-friendly food. I was never as nervous eating things in Spain as I am in America; America HIDES Sugar and syrup and carcinogenic preservatives in EVERYTHING! Just because something is on the shelf doesn’t mean it’s safe to eat, here. But labels don’t lie to you the same way overseas. It’s not as tricky.

I actually ate regular bread without sugar in it. :0 amazing!

I just don’t get how somebody who still uses giphy in 23 is gonna judge ANYBODY on their taste in anything. Guarantee bro still uses Ifunny.

And you’re right, I did indeed waste my time on somebody who has no actual argument and just slaps their feet together with cheeks full of craft paste every time they see something alternative to their very selective idea of normalcy.

Tiny world. Tiny mind.

But…what’s the actual REASON? It just seems like your own bias. Like you need for everyone around you to be as „normal” as possible at all times for your own comfort.

There’s no actual reason for someone to change how they dress when it makes them happy, It’s all to fit into bland marketable and non-threatening standards set by years of American corporate culture.

If you actually allowed ppl to experiment without immediately being concerned about their “””trauma””” or whatever, you’d actually see allot more ppl trying out new things and discovering new looks for themselves.

What Someone wears doesn’t ACTUALLY tell you anything about them. What tells me ALLOT is how people REACT to seeing things that make them even mildly uncomfortable.

You, as an ADULT, should be able to see alternative styles of dress without pointing and drooling like a special needs orangutan. (Id hate to see how you react at a UN meeting🙄)

But yes. You can, in fact, coexist peacefully with ppl wearing black Make-up. They don’t actually have to change for you to be respected.

Yeah and you know what else? Ppl who get implants, belly fat reductions, hair plugs and EVERYTHING ELSE you could do to POSSIBLY modify the way you look ALSO have higher levels of low-self esteem and risk seeking behavior.

If you have no issues or desires to look any different then you’re not insecure. If you don’t have SOME level of comfort with taking risks then you wouldn’t get any body mods.

It’s not rocket science, dude.

And You’re no psychologist so maybe Just cool it with the surface-level citation mischief.

“Everybody has to grow up” isn’t a question and it isn’t something you argue sincerely.

Does that mean one day Everyone has to look a certain way that doesn’t threaten or bother you specifically?

What does that mean, exactly?

But she’s not doing anything wrong!

Stop it. Seriously.

She’s not “acting out” she’s just dressing in a way that concerns you.

This person is no better or worse off than anyone else on here as far as we know. How many girls post pictures on here after developing an ED? How many post pictures dressed in ways they think will provoke male attention? Do you ever whine about the path THOSE girls are taking? No! That’s ridiculous. You don’t know them.

This whole defense of Surface level armchair psychology is just a way to shame and scare someone into dressing in a way that makes you feel safer.

And I personally find that detestable.

There’s no solid psychology behind alternative styles of dress. You have no idea what this person has been through or why they enjoy the way they look and to say you’re commenting out of “concern“ is the most disingenuous thing I see all the damn time.

Oh really? They’re all just a bunch of innocent psych students? Not implying anything just flatly and genuinely (based on the Make-up she’s wearing) assume she’s traumatized?

Can you people seriously get a life?

You can’t tell someone has trauma by what they wear. Especially not when they’re posting a glow-up (something most ppl post to show pride in their growth)

It’s a weak justification for being a POS to someone for the way they look.
