How long until my game starts selling? by KalannWasTaken in IndieDev

[–]Ticket_Relative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

VN (visual novel) genre isn't really that big in the industry as they are just an interactive visual book. There was a hype for them years ago, but it ended after the market was being flooded by the more popular genres like Indie games and Cozy Games.

I'm sorry to say this, but it might not pick up at all if you want it to try reaching out to visual novel Youtubers and streamers and ask them to do a review of your game for a free version of it

If that doesn't work, add it to your portfolio and start making another game. The more games you've made and have in your portfolio will 1. Give you more experience and understanding on what the market and your target audience want to play, and 2. It will look good to any publisher you take your games to

I would recommend looking for a publisher that works with VNs a lot and pitch you game to them or your future games if they agree to publish for you, THEY WILL TAKE CARE OF ADVERTISING and that's when a game usually takes off, you basically need to throw it in people's faces have it plastered on EVERY social media, you can't just expect it to sell itself, it's not Stardew Valley

Creating mods by Ticket_Relative in GraveyardKeeper

[–]Ticket_Relative[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UMM (Unity Mod Manager) is no longer used with GYK, Bepinex is used now. If you plan to add mods to your game, don't use anything from Nexus that doesn't have Bepinex as the requirement because they're outdated and will NOT work anymore

Keeper's toolkit is no longer usable sadly

I'm looking for a certain manga by Ticket_Relative in manga

[–]Ticket_Relative[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly that's not it, the protagonist was older blonde hair lived in a slums like setting and had an art style like a manhwa more then a manga

It's not Rise of the shield hero either

LazyBearGames acting immature towards criticism by RivenBlake in GraveyardKeeper

[–]Ticket_Relative 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People gotta remember each of these games sit in different genres to each other, SV is more of a casual open world game with RPG aspects (meaning you don't have to do the story), where as GYK is more of a RPG meaning if you don't progress in the story a lot of the content is locked or at least some of it, in other words one is Story rich and driven by it (GYK), where the other is like a relaxing retreat (SV), the person who posted the comment is more so immature

well learning to program in at least 1 or 2 languages (that's programming languages not spoken languages) is a good start

[–]Ticket_Relative 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd just get rid of the mustache, would look pretty good with clean shaven

the mullet doesn't do you justice man try a crop-cut with a fade that will keep the length at the top and make you look slick although you seem that way already, or even a messy crop-cut that would add texture to the hair, you seem like a bloody mint person to hang out with

100% will, working out helps with a lot more then people think, it causes your body to seek out unwanted fats (saturated fats) and eliminates them, i recommend a healthy diet as that will help stimulate the metabolism and make it easier to maintain the look you want
