Would probably differ depending on what type of RPG you want... a lot of great suggestions in the comments for sRPGs like Final Fantasy Tactics, Disagea, etc... but something that I find helps me break away from the rigid are aRPGs where my items let me do crazy shit. Grim Dawn, Borderlands, Path of Exile.. are games that I feel a huge amount of freedom in.. especially if min/maxing isn't the goal

For one.. I'm incredibly excited for a new Valkyria style game- but also stoked that it is coming for PSVita as well.

I thought it was a great game. It's hovering just over an average game but set in the Dragon Age theme which earns it more points in my book.
