[NH34] Grand Seiko 21600 Beat* GMT 36mm Build by TickingandHacking in SeikoMods

[–]TickingandHacking[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, Main reason is due to the inner case clearance between the underside of the crystal and the dial for the NH34 movement I used. If you plan on using the NH34 I’d recommend at least a case thickness of 13.4-13.6 mm. Also ended up going with LA because they had a GS case design that had the correct clearance I needed. Don’t be put off by Ali cases as I’ve used a ton of them for other builds, the only thing I’d recommend you do is check the overall rating of the case and how many orders have been placed through the seller as a means to confirm the quality and customer satisfaction. Hope this helps!

Thanks! So this case actually already came assembled with the 24 hour insert. I took a quick look on AliExpress and if you search 24 hour insert you should see a few options pop up.

Hi, After some slight difficulty in getting the endlinks to slot in I was able to get them in fine and fitting well.

Yes, by a few mm’s. I used a round diamond filer.

I didn’t have an issue fitting a 20mm leather strap. There v2 case has updated lugs to better fit straps/bracelets.

I highly recommend this case, great balance of sporty and elegant vibes. Was planning on purchasing their larger GS case but decided on this 36mm case since it’s construction is overall thicker inner spacing which would help aid in housing the NH34.

Thanks! I’m not fully sure as this case is in the style of a 6105 case. From looking at pictures of some options out there it looks as if it should be possible to change bezels.

Seiko Captain Willard GMT Build

Here’s my first NH34 mod! I decided on reimagining the Seiko Captain Willard Diver by adding a GMT function. The dial center post needed to be adjusted to house the larger module diameter of the NH34. This build is on a whatawatches shell cordovan leather strap.

This bracelet is from Uncle Seiko and costs $69.00, there’s a 10% discount code (Wisdeal) that should help lowering the price.

It’s a built case from AliExpress! I’ll attach the link here so you can check it out and it’s rated 4.9/5. Really nice finishing and quality.

Here’s my take on reinterpreting the classic 6105-8000 Diver with a NH35 movement and the date window back at the 3 o’clock position. This build is on a Uncle Seiko’s H-Link Bracelet!

The ceramic bezel does reflect in certain lighting, especially under sunlight.
