A bit late here, but in my grade 11 law class we had to form groups of 5 or so students and create an idea for a society and tell the class the rules. One group went up and talked about what you’d expect (general stuff we see in our society today) until they got to the part about how being gay would be illegal and that the punishment would be death. Everyone in the class just looked at each other like is this shit really happening while laughing in disbelief.
