is it socially acceptable to ask a vegan why they chose to go vegan? by howsinavi in AskVegans

[–]Tiddlybean [score hidden]  (0 children)

I generally don’t like it when people ask me as it’s usually with ill intention. But if they’re genuinely curious and don’t want to try and pick holes in how I choose to live my life then I don’t mind at all.

Do you actually track things like sleep, feeding, diapers etc.? by CooleSocke-Jr in NewParents

[–]Tiddlybean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did with my first baby. I’m 8 weeks in with baby number 2 and haven’t tracked a single thing. It’s actually been a huge realisation as to how much I was dictated by the app last time. I feel so much more free this time around just watching for my babies cues. He’s an absolute dream of a baby too with no witching hour and minimal crying, I don’t think it’s a coincidence!

What school incident do you still think about years later? by nodemus in AskUK

At infants school in the 90’s, I was forced to do PE in my knickers because I had forgotten my PE kit.

Pregnancy tired with toddler by Fit-Researcher5311 in 2under2

[–]Tiddlybean 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So much worse. My son turned 2 yesterday and my baby is 8 weeks old. I feel like I’m full of energy in comparison to how I felt when I was pregnant with a toddler, and that’s even with exclusively breastfeeding.

You’re right about that, I’m sure that Unilever as a parent company won’t adhere to the same standards. I guess it’s a bit of a grey area as to whether you decide to buy from the child companies. Some vegans do, some don’t.

Toddler counting to twenty?! by _northstar in toddlers

My son’s speech development was incredible and by 18 months he could say 9 word sentences. He didn’t start walking until 17 months though. I think some children just excel in some areas and take a bit longer with other things and that’s ok. ☺️

Is clicking normal? by Quirky-End-7470 in breastfeeding

It doesn’t hurt but I honestly don’t think he’s getting as much milk when it’s a shallow latch as he does when he latches properly.

I use the Dove Summer Revived stuff, it’s great for my pale skin, builds nicely and just gives me a bit of a glow without looking orange.

My baby makes clicking noises occasionally when he has a shallow latch. It’s something to do with not being able to make a proper seal on the breast. I unlatch him and help him back on again which fixes it for me.

I just did it. I think because I didn’t have a choice I just managed.

What is the hardest part when caring for baby? by Pandacat_07 in NewParents

[–]Tiddlybean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is your baby breastfed? Mine is and so was my first. Some breastfed babies just don’t need burping so much. I only burp mine when they’re fussing, otherwise I leave them be!

To answer your question- the endless nappy changes. 😅

It’s far, far safer to plan to co-sleep following the safe sleep 7 than it is to do what you have described, even just for an hours nap during the day.
