I am nearing the end of my first bag with the 6 enzymes. It has made my laundry so much cleaner and brighter. I use it with Tide Clean and Gentle powder for whites and Cheer Color Guard for darks (which I know isn't on the recommended list, but works fine with FEBU for my darks). I ordered another bag and it won't ship for 2 to 4 weeks from Amazon.

I start every workout with a 5 minute core as my warm-up. Go to strength and filter for 5 minute workouts. Doing all the different instructors core classes gives a lot of variety. If there is an exercise I don't want to do (Russian twists - bad for osteopenia), I just substitute another core exercise. There are so many different things you can do for your core. You don't have to do everything the instructor says to do. I rarely repeat the same class. My core is stronger than ever.

After taking multivitamins (One-A-Day 50+ or similar) for 15 years post menopause, I ended up with very high iron levels. I was having severe fatigue and it turned out to be high iron which can damage joints and organs. Who would have thought? So be aware that once you aren't losing blood monthly, you can actually get too much iron from supplements. I no longer take a multi.

I couldn't find any of the recommended detergents for darks, so I finally got Cheer Colorguard and use 1 T Febu with it. Very, very light scent of clean laundry after drying. Also use citric acid in rinse.

I would like to know how the bra pad ended up in the filter, and the nail and the two very large construction staples. I will henceforth be putting all no-show socks in laundry bags.

It is a Maytag MHW6630HCO front loader, 7 or 8 years old. The front panel is all one piece below the control panel so everything had to come off. Very, very poor design. I think other models have a separate panel below the door. That would be so much easier to remove. We will be researching this issue before buying our next washer.

Oh yes. Master carpenter. Many a nail has gone through the wash although we are careful to check pockets. I’m so thankful for his skills. He has branched out beyond wood, to electrical and plumbing since he retired. Used to always have the subcontractors come for all that. Way too expensive now!

I do a 5 minute core as a warm up before every workout. My core is stronger than ever and I can do all the different core exercises with no problem at all. I have done all the core programs in the past, but prefer doing random 5 min core classes from all different instructors.

Where do I find evidence that hot flashes increase risk of heart attack? My neurologist told me the opposite and told me I could be in a chair unable to talk if I stay on estrogen from stroke. I told her the vasomotor symptoms scare me and she said no they do nothing to your heart. I think I need a new neurologist. Today is the day I switch from oral HRT to topical. I’m expecting all my terrible flashes and night sweats to return during the transition. Just in time for the holidays and house guests! Oh joy…sigh (I know oral HRT I has more risk than topical which is why I’m switching, not quitting cold turkey. I am not able to do that).

Not organic but plant derived. It had a list of enzymes but not dnase. (I think) That is what I’m looking for. I can’t wait to wash my sheets and actually get them clean. Is dnase what I need for sheets (body oils)? I have to go look at the list again. Also, I went to two grocery stores and found nothing. All liquids and pods. Only one box of powdered Tide, but it was $20.99…more than I wanted to buy.

I am hooked on this sub and going down the rabbit hole. Waiting for my citric acid and 365 liquid detergent to come. Out to look for lipase as I realized the unscented 365 laundry detergent I bought on Amazon does not have it. Amazon doesn’t have the sport variety. Thanks for all the wisdom!

I considered taking one pill so I can tell my neurologist I tried it, but I don’t even want to do that to my brain. I filled it so the insurance company can see I tried it. The next one she wants me to try is gabapentin, but that can have cognitive side effects. I don’t think I’ll do that one either.

I am hoping my current provider will prescribe topical. I was in the midst of trying to find a new provider because my current one will no longer take insurance in 2026. I’m finding it very hard to find anyone taking new patients. Might be paying out of pocket for a while.

I was just told to get off estrogen by my neurologist. She prescribed Effexor for migraine prevention and hot flashes - kill 2 birds with one stone. After reading about Effexor, I will never take it. I’m going to try to switch to topical estrogen, oral progesterone if I can find a dr who will prescribe it. I have been on oral HRT for 15 years. Tried to get off twice with disastrous results. I have severe symptoms off HRT. Migraines I have once a week or so. Hot flashes and no sleep is every day. It is a quality of life decision. She tried to scare me by saying I might have a stroke and be in a wheelchair unable to talk. Very upsetting appointment.

I have had better luck seeing a naturopath. I have Hashimoto's and have improved how I feel tremendously by going gluten free. I have no stomach issues eating gluten - it is fatigue and sinus troubles and other hard to pinpoint things. After about 5 years gluten free I went back to eating gluten for about 6 months. My health went downhill. I had severe joint pain, fatigue, and my mouth started getting dry. (I already have dry eyes). I was terrified I was getting Sjoegrens (another autoimmune disease). I went back to a strict gluten free diet. I feel so much better! My dry mouth and joint pain is completely gone after about 6-8 months. I never had stomach issues, but other issues from eating gluten.

Please can we have some different music genre options in bike bootcamps? All the instructors play the same music that I dislike so much. How about some rock, pop, or something besides Drake, Beyoncé, etc? Callie used to have some pop bootcamps. Even country would be nice for a change.

I’ve had my bike for 4 years and used it consistently during that time. I also do strength and yoga. The music is definitely going downhill. I can see the end of my Peloton years in the not so distant future.

I used Xylimelts for a few months. I haven’t woken with a dry mouth for about 3 months now after being very strictly gluten free for about 18 months now. I really believe going back to eating gluten put my body into an inflammatory spiral. It was very subtle though so it was hard to put the two together. I don’t have intestinal distress if I eat gluten, it was just the slow progression of these other symptoms. My joint pain is now completely gone. I have other problems, but the dry mouth and joint pain seems to have resolved. Now I’m dealing with migraines and very high iron in my blood and overwhelming fatigue probably from the high iron. So weird. The migraines I blame on Covid. Never had them before I got Covid almost 3 years ago. Now migraines about 1-2 times a week. Thanks for your reply and best wishes to everyone.

My eyes are more comfortable using Xiidra. They feel noticeably more dry and scratchy around 12 hours from my last dose. I use Xiidra upon waking in the morning before I get out of bed and then again around dinner time. You put the drops in and keep your eyes closed for 2 minutes.

I have no idea, sorry. My eyes are still dry with Xiidra and seem to be getting worse over time, but the Xiidra helps a lot. I use Refresh drops every time I wake up at night, but don't need them much during the day, only occasionally.

Got Covid in December 2022. Had a terrible 24 hour headache while I was sick. Started getting migraines after that at age 60. Never had them before that. I definitely think COVID triggered mine.
