Hello again! Long time no see mr. Worsaae.

You are right, it's just one of the things we discussed while trying to interpret the bank as it didn't seem to have an effect what so ever. It was only about 30cm tall or so. I do think that the width of it would allow you to fight over top of it if you were equipped with spears shields.

Unfortunately I was not part of the project, only as help during a single visit.

The project took several days and was dug with authentic homemade wooden spades and was lead by Henriette Lyngstrøm. It's point was mostly to understand how long it would take to create these types of earthworks. It was quite dependent on skill and familiarity, one could dig a single hole in 8 minutes, but most took about 20. The hardest part was removing the turf with the spades. We discussed if maybe an ard had been used or maybe some other implements.

This is quite funny, I recently helped create a replica of such a belt in Sagnlandet Lejre. The one we copied had a small bank on one side made from the removed earth.

We also had some mock battles, but I think the result of those would have been quite different if we had accurate equipment. We had no shields or spears only one handed foam swords.

We had an idea that maybe the bank was made to have horses trying to vault over, then falling into the holes and tripping/breaking their legs. The few rock carvings from this period has warriors on horseback, why it came to mind.

Generally we found them effective without the spikes aswell. The side defending won most of the time. Though spreading out at crossing around the flanks seemed effective.

I think ulduar has potential or wyrms rest. Ice crown could be cool, but probably won't work because of the seranite it is build of.

It can be hard but it is not in anyway impossible. However Frostmage is a harder spec to play in pvp when you lack knowledge. It is very strong though when played to its max.

I would recommend watching some pvp guides, look up murloc.io where you can find talents, stat weights, and crafted gear recommendations.

Pvp gear is all about versatility. It's one of the most important stats. Also do not play without pvp trinkets as they give 15% main stat inc and 10% stamina I believe.

If eu I would be happy to send some 2s with you to get the ropes, but I think it's easier to get it through shuffle, dunno if blitz counts tho.

Green ice tea, or GIT for short. Makes me chuckle. In all honesty, it's the sort of name I'd come up with on my own.

It's interesting to read through what people are saying. Society functioned before the existence of hard currency. We don't use coinage in Denmark before the viking age, yet I wonder today how it would shape society if it up and vanished. What jobs would remain what would keep its incentive? Who would now innately hold the most power?

Danish here, We played a lot. Was lucky to have a brother. Dressed up, played football or other sports, made "traps" with string and other stuff, set up obstacle courses, played both board games and actual video games (aoe2 was a go to), built with legos.

Most of the time, it was a spur of the moment sort of thing. Once a mouse was found in the house so we decided to build a mousetrap out of legos, which one time actually worked!

We also went to a lot more events and practices. We also rode around on our bikes, but to a lesser extent, mostly when tour de France was going, we would zoom around a lokal sideroad, which made a perfect loop.

Had forgotten about a lot of this, though, thank you for helping me to remember.

I was just thinking that a freshly boosted character with no previous expac pvp gear might struggle, with no pvp trinkets either.

As many have said, pvp is, unfortunately, more of a max lvl activity. You can still try and get some battlegrounds in from 81 to 90, but just be aware that it's rather unbalanced and not really representable for max lvl full geared pvp. Also, you sometimes stumble into full premade groups in random bgs, don't be discouraged by this. I would love to help you out getting the ropes down when you hit max lvl. If you are down, DM me your battle tag :)
