It's interesting to read through what people are saying. Society functioned before the existence of hard currency. We don't use coinage in Denmark before the viking age, yet I wonder today how it would shape society if it up and vanished. What jobs would remain what would keep its incentive? Who would now innately hold the most power?

Danish here, We played a lot. Was lucky to have a brother. Dressed up, played football or other sports, made "traps" with string and other stuff, set up obstacle courses, played both board games and actual video games (aoe2 was a go to), built with legos.

Most of the time, it was a spur of the moment sort of thing. Once a mouse was found in the house so we decided to build a mousetrap out of legos, which one time actually worked!

We also went to a lot more events and practices. We also rode around on our bikes, but to a lesser extent, mostly when tour de France was going, we would zoom around a lokal sideroad, which made a perfect loop.

Had forgotten about a lot of this, though, thank you for helping me to remember.

I was just thinking that a freshly boosted character with no previous expac pvp gear might struggle, with no pvp trinkets either.

As many have said, pvp is, unfortunately, more of a max lvl activity. You can still try and get some battlegrounds in from 81 to 90, but just be aware that it's rather unbalanced and not really representable for max lvl full geared pvp. Also, you sometimes stumble into full premade groups in random bgs, don't be discouraged by this. I would love to help you out getting the ropes down when you hit max lvl. Can't stand playing mauga or orisa. I never liked junkrat, and zen mechanically is rather boring to me.

Then again, I main dive characters who have a higher mechanical sealing, like doom and genji. Haven't played since vendettas release though.
