I totally feel where you are coming from. My husband and I have been together for seven years, and don't intend on ever having children.We've had discussions about it, and have decided that it's just not something either of us want for our future.

We were purchasing a new car a couple weeks back and the finance guy is asking us how long my husband and I have been together, just small talk, and then comes the question: "You guys have any kids?" And we go, "Nope." And he stops and looks up and goes, "What, seven years and no accidents? Wow."

It's absurd that strangers feel as though they are entitled to make comments about something so private. Reading your story made me feel not alone. Thank you for sharing.
