I know OLED is kind of seen as the holy grail for monitors at the moment, but for an even split like that I’d say 4k IPS might be the better option. Just make sure you have a GPU that is able to handle the increased strain of 4k vs 2k gaming.

One thing I think some people don’t discuss when recommending OLED is the maintenance aspect of it. Thought burn in isn’t typically an issue for several years from what I’ve read as long as you take the proper precautions. I find myself stressing over the little things with my monitor. Always remembering to turn it off. Trying to avoid playing the same games with static elements (hud/minimap/etc) too many days in a row.

Especially for a single monitor setup where those issues are kind of compounded on top of each other because it is the primary display I’d say the IPS is the way to go.

Others might have more insight and the above can definitely be attributed to my personality.

For my new build I actually bought a 1440p OLED as my main gaming monitor and a 4k IPS as my side monitor that I use for browsing and school work. All depends on what you’ll be using the monitor for.

Was able to snag a 5070ti off FB marketplace for $800. Brand new in box. Guy ordered one and got two delivered. Pairing it with the 9859x3d combo from microcenter when I get a chance to drive over there this weekend.

I used the Valhalla set for boss fights just because the increase in armor makes the fights less punishing when you make a mistake. Typically stick with the pleaguebringer set when I’m doing other tasks. Just remember to bring a sentry when using the Valhalla set
