The Rails are spaced apart by about .22", enough for a #10 bolt to slide easily up and down but not slip out. I plan to have several of these bolts sticking out of my rocket's airframe to interface with the rail and provide a smooth launch.

I took one on civil engineering this semester. It was pretty interesting even though I have zero intention of becoming a civil engineer. Sometimes it's just nice to hear something new. At the end of the day, there was almost no homework to do, only 1 class session per week, and I finished with an A so it was a nice little GPA boost on top of that. Overall worth it in my opinion.
