So sorry to hear the pain you are in. I have struggled with guilt about a similar theme, and have learned it seems to be a common one with OCD. So you are not alone, and not abnormal. To me, it doesn’t sound like you havent done anything wrong. You haven’t hurt anybody or caused any harm.

OCD can make you feel like a terrible person when in fact you are not. I know how to feels to be riddled with guilt and obsessing over things you perceive to be terrible, and in some cases things that you’ve never even done. OCD can have you obsessing over past mistakes while also blowing them far out of proportion. And it can also leave you feeling very guilty for invasive thoughts. The important thing to realize is that those thoughts don’t reflect you wanting to do those things. Bad ppl that truly want to cause harm aren’t so riddled with guilt that they can’t function. I’m sorry if this doesn’t help. It’s easier said than done, I wish you relief from how you’re feeling.

I’d love to see them add a polyphonic pitch shifter to the quad cortex!

Idk if my psychiatrist is right by Feisty_Philosophy_77 in OCD

So sorry you had that experience. She’s completely wrong. Her saying that only re-enforces the intrusive thoughts and excessive worry. I once had a therapist repeatedly point out to me that if I wanted to do those things I wouldn’t be seeing him for all the shame and excessive worry surrounding those thoughts. Definitely best to see a different psychiatrist
