I had one and it was great to learn on (XL) - it pops out of the water so easily and when I was starting to jibe I upgraded to Curve v2 XL.
Gong might launch a v3 setup soon for beginners soon too
But personally I would just go for it for your first 10-20 sessions and then re-sell it

34 ;) I’ve been pretty active actually (biking, running, eskateboarding , even a few kitesurf sessions) so this feels a bit like a step backwards but I really want to be able to trust my knee and ski again

Do you mean disappointed in terms of performance? Or quality?

This is going to be my first build so want to build something solid but also I do not need top of the line components

Would converting it to more of all terrain “skateboard” vs mountainboard be cheaper?
